December 19th

Albert was sitting at the kitchen table, looking at his phone. The blue light shined on his face. It moved to his neck when he looked up to the sound of the front door opening and closing. It was Jake. He was covered in snow.

"Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve," Jake whispered as he wrapped his arms around Albert's neck.

Albert put down his phone and put a hand on his arm. "Good job, Jake,"

Jake kissed Albert's hand, causing him to smile.

Albert stood up. "Did you get your acceptance letter yet?"

Jake sighed. "No, but I just went to check the mail, and I've been looking at my phone. Nothing."

Albert wrapped his arms around Jake. "Don't worry, you'll get accepted. I'm sure of it," he kissed his cheek. He dropped his arms and took Jake's hand, walked a couple feet away, stretched his arm and dropped it with a smirk.

Jake smiled. His arms were around Albert's neck and his lips were on his within a second.

"Hello, love birds!" In walked Alexandria, Albert's sister.

"Leave us alone, Alex," Albert called to her, even though she was in the same room.

"Calm down, it's okay," Jake laughed as he kissed Albert again.

Albert was enjoying the moment until his phone went off. It was one notification that made Jake pull away and immediately pull out his phone.

"You need to calm down, it was me," Albert chuckled, showing him his phone.

Jake frowned and put his phone away. "Sorry, I'm just nervous,"

"It's okay," Albert rubbed his arm comfortingly.

"There's no way they rejected you, Jake," Alex said through a mouthful of Mac and cheese, "you're too smart."

"Thanks, Alex, that makes me feel so much better," he responded sarcastically.

"Jeez, just trying to help," Alex muttered as she walked out of the kitchen with her Mac and cheese.

"Alright, I have to go record," Albert said as he squeezed Jake's hand and walked away. "Love you,"

"Love you, too,"

Jake looked down and smiled. What would he ever do if he lost Albert? He scratched his head whenever he thought about it. It was clear they needed each other.

Alex came back with her Mac and cheese, offering Jake some. "This is rare. Mac and cheese is my favorite."

"Sorry, no,"

"Eating Mac and cheese is the best."

"No, thank you,"

"I know you'd rather prefer to eat Al-"

"Be quiet!" he blushed and swiftly walked away, leaving Alex stifling a laugh. He loved Albert.
