“Hey,” Kirishima called from in the kitchen of the 3A dorm building, “remember last year at the sports festival when (Y/n) went against Todoroki?” He laughs, coming into the common area.
It has been almost two years since your first sports festival, though you didn’t forget a single thing. “Oh Gods, don’t even get me started.” You laugh, putting a hand on your face while waving your other hand slightly. “Todoroki wiped the floor with me.”
“Not after you kicked him in the back of the knees and splashed water in his face.” Jirou reminded you.
She had been correct. While you were fighting the third strongest in your class, you managed to surprise him a total of two times. The first time was by managing to get behind him. When he attempted to use his fire, it backfired as a wave of his ice caused a large cloud of steam to block you from his sight. You kicked the back of his knees before attempting to grab onto him. He was too fast for you, however. His body swung around and he hit you with a wave of ice. Some of the shards were loose, and you managed to get ahold of them. Turning them into water was no problem. When the water had gotten in his eyes, it nearly enabled you to throw him out of the ring, but he was too strong. Bakugou had won that festival. Shinsou, who was eventually transferred into your class as a third year, had taken second. Todoroki third and Midoriya fourth.
You are now a third year. Your class had stayed the same, besides the transferment of Hitoshi Shinsou. You were to be graduating in three days, though that didn’t feel to be the case. You still felt like a new second year.
It was very clear to you and your peers that you’ve grown. You eventually took on the hero name Konsuru, a combination of the Japanese words for “compact’, konpakuto, and “change”, henka suru. Midnight thought it fit you quite well, so she encouraged you to keep it through your years. You even had a girl named Hatsume assist you with designing a costume. She kept it simple, though, and you were thankful that she had. It resembles Todoroki’s costume, but the color scheme is all black. Your combat boots were the exact pair that Shoji wore, though they were your size and fit you quite comfortably.
Your class had just gotten back from a training camp of sorts. It was just a makeshift camp that a few of the teachers had built in the school yard. Training continued as normal, though you were assigned partners for tents at the end of each day. You and Shinsou had fought each other because you were both of the newest members to the class. He gave no argument, nor did you.
Currently, you sit in the common area, your back pressed against your boyfriend’s side as you both hog up an entire couch. No one seemed to mind, though, as there were plenty of other places to sit in the large room. “He’s right, you know.” Shoji says, nudging you. You feel yourself flush as some of your friend’s eyes land on you.
“Ah, I know he is! But just think about how I did this year! I was out in the first round.” You object, but Koda and Satou both perk up.
It was the brown-haired teenager who spoke. “We were also eliminated in the first round. So was Mineta and Aoyama.”
You nod your head and shrug. “Yeah, well. I guess I was just having an off day.” A lighthearted laugh passes through you.
Shinsou enters the common room with Kaminari on his heels just as Kirishima walks in from the kitchen. “Ah, hey, Kami? Do you know if Bakugou is in his room?”
“He was actually just going into his room when I went to get Shinsou. If you wanted to try and get him down here, you could try.” Kaminari sticks out his thumb, pointing behind him. A nervous smile comes to his face as he watches his friend disappear up the stairs.
