Time felt as though it were nonexistent. It had been almost three months since the accident. Though, things weren't all too different throughout your life. It had been a lot easier to manage once the police were done with their initial investigation.

"78 people reported dead in an explosion at Okinawa Island." The reporter said into the camera, her eyes filled with sorrow as she gestures to the closed airport behind her. "A Delta Airline flight en route to Tokyo International Airport was forced to make an emergency landing. There have been no reports of foul play, and investigators have stated that there was most likely a failure with the machine's engine."

That aired so many times, over and over for three months. You were asked to give comments to the police and different detectives, even some of the pro heroes were involved, trying to discover any villainous intentions. All Might mostly spoke to you only because you had met once before. He had even attended your mother's funeral which was held here in Japan granted on your wish, considering she had not intended on making such arrangements. There had been a body to bury, though it was barely recognizable. Having to identify her had been the hardest part of the whole experience, though you blocked out the memory fairly quickly.

You invited a few people to the funeral, only because they were the closest people to you. (F/f/n), because her mother had also perished, left for the United States to live with her grandparents, so she wasn't able to attend. All Might had brought another hero with him, the now number one hero Endeavor, and a couple staff members from UA. Having heroes at a funeral for a family member of yours that they hadn't met was odd, though it gave you an opportunity to introduce yourself and branch out, with help of the few 1A students that showed up. You had only briefly mentioned it to them all, so to see any of them there was reassuring.

Through everything, some of them continued messaging you to make sure you were still with their world. Shoji, being one of those students, constantly stopped by the apartment if you ignored any of his, or someone else's, messages. Occasionally, you sparked arguments with him for absolutely no reason, but he never argued back. He listened to you scream, cry, and eventually tire yourself out. There had even been a time where you shouted at him for being a kind person.

That day, he had let himself in, seeing that you were in your regular spot on the couch. The only sound that filled the room was slight scraping as he removed his boots at the door. You shot up from the couch and met his stare. "If you're going to yell at me, just get it over with." He said softly, placing a bag of fruit on the counter.

"Why did you go to the store for me again? I don't have the money to repay you." Your voice was aggressive, but he knew you couldn't help it.

"Because you need food." His voice was soft as he started to put the fruit in the fridge.

"I have done nothing for you, absolutely nothing." You claimed loudly, speaking to his back as he didn't dare to look at you as he shut the fridge. "Yet you do all this shit like you have to 'cause your life depends on it. Stop being so damn nice to me."

He turned around to face you with the same expression he always wore. He looked tired, but you assumed it was because of hero work. He was a busy student who shouldn't have to take time out of his day to baby you. It made you feel an immeasurable amount of guilt. Mainly because you couldn't repay him.

"You need someone around, (F/n)." His voice was soothing, trying to keep calm as you felt your anger beginning to boil. "I'm not comfortable leaving you alone all the time. Unless you–"

"I don't need you around." You said suddenly, cutting him off. He looked at you, eyes wide as he took a step back. The comment was so out of nowhere. Your tone, a more demanding one, was one he had never heard from you before.
