"Look at this" Aster said, carrying a book over to Selina and sitting it down on the table.

"A prince will be born with powers that are not of this universe. Power to control and take over the minds and hearts of those around him" Selina read out loud.

This passage had to be about Vartan. The stars were known to predict the future and it seems through all that research they finally found something that may be useful to them.

"Look here. It says he would be like a parasite. Parasites need a host" Aster said, pointing to the page.

Selina lowered her brow, trying to understand. Vartan was like a parasite, she agreed on that, but she did not understand how this was helpful to them.

Aster looked down at her, waiting for her to finish reading and comprehend what this meant.

"Selina, if Vartan is inside someone and they die, that's it. I mean, if Wren would have died while he was inside he would die too. The host needs to be alive for him to feed off of" Aster explained, tapping his finger on the page.

"Okay, but how does that help us?" Selina asked, turning her head in confusion.

Aster sat himself down in a chair beside Selina. "If we can get Vartan to at leaast start to take over Aden like he wants to, we could weaken him enough that we may be able to finish him."

Selina snapped her fingers, a smile spreading across her face. If he was part way into taking over Aden, his power would be part way gone as well. He was impossible for them to beat at full power but if they could half it, they could stand a chance.

Selina shut the book she was reading and placed it on top of the others, "we need to tell Aden,"

"We will but we still need to wait until they get Claire out of there."

Selina sighed. Aden, Valen and Jerik still had a days worth of travel. They still needed to wait. If they did not follow Aden's plan, they may risk getting Claire out of there. That was something they could not risk.

"I know you're worried about her" Aster said, placing his hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

"The only reason I got away from Altier was Gale and Altier was not as powerful as Vartan. What if they can't get Claire out of there?" Selina asked, crossing her arms and slouching down in her chair.

"They will. They want her out of there just as much as you do."

Selina glanced over at him. She gave him a soft smile. Aster stared back at her, his face feeling warm. No matter how much he was around her, he still felt flustered.

"Anyway... uh..." Aster stuttered, taking his hand off of Selina's shoulder, his stomach feeling like it was rising and falling.

Before Selina forgave him, he was able to talk to her no problem. Now that they were moving forward, he could not help but feel nervous. He had a chance with her again. A chance he never thought he would have. As much as he wanted to be this cool guy for her, he couldn't. She made him nervous. Those bright white eyes pierced through him and made his heart stop.

Aster sat back down at his desk, looking through the book again. He wanted to make sure he did not miss anything important.

Aden walked ahead of the group, Jerik and Valen walking far behind side by side. He was determined and was not going to slow down to make sure they kept up. Aden had promised Claire he would protect her, but he did not. He needed to correct this.
