Claire sat in the Water Kingdom's palace outside on the ledge of the fountain. She stared out into the open land. The open land where the teleportation pad to the Kingdom of Forgotten Misfits was. Where the others were fighting for their lives. Where they were fighting for their lives and she was sitting here safe in the Water Kingdom.

"Have faith in them" Cain said, sitting himself down on the ledge beside Darya.

Selina joined them, sitting on the other side of Claire. Claire had been sitting there staring out since they had returned to the palace. She had given her some space to think but was starting to worry about her. Of course she was worried about the others as well but she knew this was for the best. Claire needed to understand that.

Darya sat down beside Cain. She leaned forward with a smile, "they've got this! I mean, how could they fail? Having someone like Aster on their side, it's almost impossible" Darya placed a hand on her chin as her eyes looked dreamy.

Selina rolled her eyes. It was like Darya just ignored the fact that she was married and that Aster was clearly with Selina. She tried not to let it bother her but it did.

"It's like no one is remembering how strong Vartan is. If they fail, then what? We lose everything we care for and then what?" Claire asked, her eyes not leaving the forward stare.

The scar on her head seemed like it was burning more and more with each passing moment. She worried this meant things were not going well. She was connected to Vartan by this scar he gave her. Did the burning she felt mean that they were failing? She really felt it did.

"He's too powerful. Why aren't more people going to fight him? There are many royals, you two included. Why are we just sitting here letting this happen?" Claire asked, finally averting her gaze to rest it harshly on Cain and Darya. A tear escaped her eye. One single tear slowly sliding down her cheek.

"Although I do agree with you to some extent, royals need to protect their kingdoms. Hence why Neva stayed behind while I came here."

Wren walked up to the fountain. His hair seemed to glisten with the sunlight, along with his skin. Like a soft cover of frost surrounded his entire body.

"I figure since I caused so much trouble, the least I can do is assist the others in this battle" Wren said, bowing his head to the others.

"You're going to the Kingdom of Forgotten Misfits?" Cain asked, standing up to bow back to Wren.

Wren nodded his head, a soft smile on his face. "I caused a lot of trouble. I realize that I was not myself, but still. I feel as if I owe it to help."

Claire stared at Wren. Maybe she could convince him to take her. Maybe Wren would understand why she needed to go. She needed to be there for the same reason Wren needed to be. She felt guilty. Obviously Vartan was going to do these things regardless of her, but still. She felt like since she was a large part of the alternate reality Vartan was creating that she needed to be there and fight. She was a large part of that and she wanted to help more. She wanted to help stop him.

"Take me with you."

Selina's eyes shot over to Claire. All eyes were on Claire, staring over at her. Wren was looking at her as well, but much softer. It did not seem like Wren could ever look as if he was judging anyone. He was such a kind soul.

"I'm quite surprised you are here. You as well Selina" Wren said as he said Selina's name, he looked over at her, "I figured the two of you would already be there."

"I was asked to stay behind to look after Claire. That magic Vartan used on her is powerful and we do not want him causing any more harm" Selina said, her eyes glaring at Claire. She could not help but feel like Claire was being selfish. Everyone needed to focus on Vartan. No one had time to worry about Claire. Claire almost died the last time they battled Vartan. He was not afraid to harm her. He had already proven that.
