Lexi's POV

I stood there for about five minutes just looking at them when Luke sent me a message saying he was with Demetry but he needed my help getting him out. I scanned my surroundings looking for a way out when the boss and the two guys from outside entered the room and everything went quiet.

He just looked at the men not saying anything but they knew he was mad and they all started apologizing, at the same time. He didn't want to listen to a word they had to say and he started walking in my direction, he was going upstairs. A voice in my head yelled at me to get out of there so I did.

There were two doors to my left, one with a sigh reading office on it and one plain door, I decided to enter the plain door and to my surprise, it was the door that had stairs going down. I went down to the basement and found Luke there trying to get Demetry out of the handcuffs around his hands. "Lexi are you okay?" Demetry asked worriedly while he examined me looking for blood or scars.

"I'm fine but we have no time for small talk, they are coming we have no time to waste," I said as I gripped the metal handcuffs in my hands and ripped it to pieces carefully trying not to hurt Demetry. I helped Demetry up, I kept him from falling back down and I told them we needed to go through the window Luke came in.

One at a time we exited and started running back home as fast as we could not looking back. "What's the plan now?" Luke asked out of breath. I stopped and looked at them "I have no idea we can't go home they will find us there and if they don't find us they will kidnap our family members and use them to find us," I said while trying to stop the tears from streaming down my face.

"Let's just go home for now and we'll figure it out from there," Demetry said looking at me with soft caring eyes. I could tell that he didn't really care where we went he was just glad that I was safe and he was away from that place. I ran into his arms and just broke down crying and I told him how worried I was. "Everything isn't all blue skies yet we still need to get out of here, they can still come after us," Luke said already running back home. Demetry took my hand and we ran home, I felt safe with him by my side even if we weren't out of the woods yet.
