Chapter 16: Field Lessons

POV: 3rd

Weiss had gotten up slightly earlier than the others so she can tell Winter goodbye. She knocked on her sisters door and waited for an answer. "Winte-" Weiss stopped when she saw that it wasn't Winter who answered, but Noble Six.

He only had his head poking out so she only saw his face and slightly-messier-than-usual hair. Six looked exhausted. "Hold on, I'll get her." He shut the door, leaving a bewildered little Schnee to wonder to wonder why he was even there.

A few minutes later Winter answered, wearing an oversized t-shirt. "Yes Weiss?"

"I just came to-what happened to you? You're hair's usually well done, it's a complete mess!"

Winter slightly blushed remembering last night. "...things."

Weiss hugged Winter, who of which returned the favor. "I'm going on my first mission."

"Be careful, and listen to your professor." Winter replied and let Weiss go join her team. She went to go see if Six was up and, sure enough, he was.

He looked at Winter. "There's something you should know."

"Okay, what is it?" Winter asked. Six didn't answer with words, he pulled out his scroll and brought up files he had put in it. He showed her his helmet recordings and, when they were done, looked away from her. Winter simply hugged him. "You've been through a lot."

"So, you don't hate me?"

"Why would I? You spent your life protecting people even when they degraded you."

Six smiled and hugged her back. "I should probably get going, no doubt my team is getting anxious."

Winter reluctantly let go of him. "Alright, just be careful."

"Hey, it's me you're talking to, not my dad." The two chuckled a bit before sharing a quick kiss. Six got up went to rejoin his team.

The silver eyed spartan was met with his entire team once he got back to his dorm. "Where the hell have YOU been?"

"Banging Winter." Emile joked. Six stayed silent, giving Emile a few seconds to register the situation. "HOLY SHIT I'M RIGHT!!!" He started to laugh so hard he sounded kind of like a hyena.

Six looked to Jorge. "So what's our mission?"

"Well I can tell you what it isn't." He replied. "It's just a search and destroy mission. DEFINITELY not an investigation to determine where in the southeast the White Fang are, and we CERTAINLY aren't going to show a certain team in particular."

"Sounds like we should get going then." Six said and they all grabbed their gear before heading out.

Team RWBY was waiting for whoever would accompany them on the mission. "Wonder who will show us." Yang said.

"Probably someone with much experience in the field." Weiss replied

"Or them." Blake spoke, getting her teams attention as she pointed in a certain direction. NBLE team was walking right toward them, side by side one another.

Ruby squealed as she watched. "They look so AWESOME!!!"

Weiss smiled. "I will admit, they do look amazing."

"Stop showering us with praise, it'll get to Emiles head!" Six called out.

Emile looked at his partner. "Well fuck you too!"
