I decided to get up early and go for a run. I did this not only to stay in shape but it's a good way to clear my mind. Last year I started distancing myself from everyone so I would go on a walk to get away from everyone.
When I got to the park I started my stopwatch and got to running. I was hoping I could get closer to my 4 mile goal. Halfway through my goal a basketball rolls in front of my feet almost making me trip. I pick it up and turn to the basketball court ready to throw it back but I see who it is and decide to walk over there.
"Something tells me you threw this on purpose" I said sneaking up to Mikey. He looked up from his phone and smirked. "Maybe I just wanted your attention is that toomuchto ask?" He replied in a playful tone. I rolled my eyes and sucked my teeth and started dribbling the basketball. "Maybe if you beat me you can have my attention" I took a step back and rained a 3. "You don't want this work mama" he said chuckling. I swear if I wasn't darkskin I'd be so red.
I guess I wasn't gonna be finishing my run. I pushed the ball into his chest and got in my defensive position. "Let's make this interesting, if I win we go wherever I wanna go tommorow if not we go where you wanna go deal?" He proposed. "Deal" I mean what's the worst that could happen. Mikey did a quick spin move and went straight for a layup leaving me in the dust.

Right now we were 16-18 I was losing and we were playing to 20. I knew he was about to get this next shot. I tried my best to defend him but he threw up a deep 3. When it went one started running around the court like a crazy man while I stood under the goal. He picked up the ball at the half court line. "And for my last trick Imma punch it on you" he said like he was a magician or some shit.
He started running towards me and all of a sudden his body comes crashing on mine. I tried to get up but I realized that my left wrist was pinned under me. Mikey didn't stop laughing until I yelled at him.
Mikey pov Dani didn't talk to me for the rest of the walk. Not gonna lie I thought it was pretty funny until she got hurt. I figured I might as well go bother Philix while I was walking in this direction. She walked to her door and slammed it in my face. 'Strike 1' I said to myself.
I walked into the living room seeing all the guys. "Omg hey guys" I squealed like a girl plopping down on the couch. "What did you do tomy sister nigga?" Philix asked and I mentally rolled my eyes. "She mad I dunked on her and she fell on her wrist" I smacked my teeth. They all groaned telling me how dumb I was. "I'm not taking this shit" I whispered to myself before getting up.
Being the respectful guy I am I knocked on Dani's door before barging in. She was standing at her drawer. "Get out Mikey" she yelled,'strike 2' I told myself. I stayed at her door. "I said get out" she huffed throwing a shirt at me. 'Ok that 3' I walked up to her snatched her up. "You been talkin reckless to me all day I ain't gone take it no more" I whispered in her ear. "Reckless? look at my wrist" she showed me her arm.

(Ik it's bad quality) Looking at her arm made me feel really bad. I sighed and pulled her down in the bed. "Look I'm sorry we were playingaroundand I took it too far" I said sincerely. "It's alright you didn't mean it" she said lying me down with her. The rest of the day we watched movies.

Dani pov
Around lunchtime Mikey picked me up and we pulled up to a mall. He grabbed my hand and pulled me to footlocker. Footlocker is literally my kryptonite. I saw a pair of Jordan 1's and just couldn't resist. Mikey was taking pictures so I snuck to the register. The girl had to go to the back to get my size and she was taking mad long.
"You not paying for those" I heard and Mikey was now beside me. "But I am tho" I've never been one to let someone else pay for my stiff when I can pay for myself. I felt his chest meet my back and he wrapped his arm around my collar bone. He pulled me back a little while pushing himself forward. He chuckled as I gasped. "Like I said you not paying for those" he says as the girl rerurns.
After going to a couple more stores we decided to leave. We've been driving for about an hour and a half now. My eyes start to get droopy and I let them close. ______
"Wake up Dani" I felt my shoulder being shaken. I stretched and rubbed my eyes adjusting to waking up. I looked out the window and it was just before sunset. "Where are we?" I asked. He didn't say anything he just got out the car and opened the trunk. 'Ok this is starting to get creepy' I thought to myself.
I got out of the car and saw that he was putting a blanket onto the grass. We started cuddling and just watched the sunset in silence. The view of the Hollywood sign was perfect. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked looking over at him. "I come here to clear my mind and get a breath of fresh air it's so peaceful. That's how I feel when I'm around you peaceful" he looked back down at me.
I sat up a bit and slowly leaned into him. "I really like you Mikey" I don't know where I got the courage to tell him that but I can't take it back now. "I like you too Dani" he pauses for a but "you tryna be mine shawty?" He asked in a weird voice making me bust out laughing. I grab his face bringing his lips to mine. I pull away, I can tell he's blushing. "I'll take that as a yes" I nodded my head.
