Strong

His eyes finally opened again.

After sleeping for quite some time after being all drowsy due to anesthetics, Hoseok had woken up again and immediately grinned at the members who were scattered around the room when he recognized them. Jungkook was right next to him, as was Jimin, and Namjoon stood at the end of his bed. The others were quickly ganging up on him and he chuckled at the looks on their faces. 

The heart-shaped smile on Hoseok's face said it all. Jimin couldn't understand how someone could be like Hoseok. He couldn't understand how someone could be smiling at a moment like this, after having surgery, after being so tired and perhaps scared. 

It was proof, however. Once again, Hoseok had shown them all. He had shown them that, for real, their Hobi was strong. Stronger than anyone they'd ever seen.

"Hey guys." Hoseok croaked, still grinning. It was very obvious that he was wide awake again and fully aware, and it made Jimin smile gratefully. 

"How's it going?" Hoseok chuckled when all the members stayed silent, trying to keep their emotions together for Hoseok. Trying to stay calm and not show him how worried they had been, still were.

Jungkook threw himself at him. "You could've died!" the maknae sobbed, no longer keeping himself together for his hyung.

Hoseok was startled, but patted Jungkook's back while hugging him. "But I didn't, I'm right here with you, Kookie. I'm not going anywhere."

And once again, Hoseok was the one comforting them. All while he was the one in the hospital bed. He was the one with an IV to his arm. He was the one who'd undergone life-threatening surgery.

Jimin sniffed, trying to keep the tears at bay, but it was almost impossible. His hyungs were now crying too, Taehyung was in the corner of the room trying to hide his tears, and Jungkook was bawling his eyes out.

The one who was smiling, however, was Hoseok.

"Hobi-hyung..." Jimin sniffed. "How can you look so happy?"

Hoseok grinned even wider and pulled Jimin into the hug. The dancer chuckled and patted Jimin's back as well.

"I'm smiling, because I'm happy, Chim. I'm happy to have all of you here with me, I'm happy I am part of such a great team. You've all been here for me, even when I did stupid things like escape my room to make friends."

The boys chuckled through their tears. Silly Hobi.

"I'm smiling, because even after all this, you guys are here. I am so thankful."

That's when tears started to escape Hoseok's eyes as well. It was hard not to cry in a room full of crying friends, after all.

"I really love you guys." Hoseok said through his sniffing.

Namjoon, Taehyung, Jin and Yoongi joined the group hug.

They couldn't express in words what they felt, because it was like they were feeling everything at once.

Jimin was the first to pull away from the hug and he smiled a teary-eyed smile at Hoseok.

"Our Hobi really is strong, huh?"
