Even after Namjoon's phonecall, the doctors couldn't give the results. Not because the results were inconclusive or something of the sort, but because the tests hadn't even been done yet. They'd been too busy. They needed more time.
Meanwhile, it was two days after Hoseok had passed out for a second time, and the boy was feeling rather horrible. At first, he didn't want to tell anyone, because he was worried he would make them upset or even more worried than they already were...
But then he threw up about four times and he could no longer hide how sick he felt. His stomach was hurting as well...he didn't know what was going on...
"Hoseok-ah, are you sure you're eating enough?" Jin asked, sitting on the couch in their living room.
Hoseok was lying down on another couch, the one across from Jin. He pouted and half-glared at his hyung.
"Of course I am..." he mumbled. "Why would I not?"
"I mean...you're not...like...secretly anorexic or bulimic, right?"
Hoseok's eyes widened. "How- why would you even say that, hyung? I'm not. And if I was, that would've been very inconsiderate of you to just blurt out like that."
Jin shrugged, looking down at his hands. "I was just wondering..." he said softly.
Hoseok glared at Jin, this time a full glare. "I can't believe you'd just say that. Thanks for worrying about me, but this isn't helping."
He got up from the couch, even though he was feeling dizzy as hell, and left the living room.
Jin sighed and cursed under his breath. He knew he was stupid for asking something like that. He got up from his couch as well and called Hoseok's name. He yelled a few sorry's, but when Hoseok didn't reply, nor turn back to the living room, Jin pouted and followed after the boy.
He walked into the hallway and up the stairs, towards Hoseok's bedroom.
"Hobi, c'mon, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked you, okay?" he called out while he walked through the hallway upstairs.
He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the motionless body of Hoseok on the ground in front of his room.
"Hoseok." Jin called out. "Hoseok!!!"
Jin panicked and walked over to the balustrade next to the stairs, yelling at everyone who was downstairs.
"GUYS!! HE PASSED OUT AGAIN!! CALL AN AMBULANCE!!"
Everyone sped into action. Jimin called the ambulance, while Namjoon called the doctor once again. Taehyung and Yoongi ran up the stairs to help Jin and Jungkook tried to keep Namjoon calm.
"Hyung, where are you?" Taehyung called out.
"In front of his room!" Jin yelled back, crouching down next to Hoseok. The boy had fallen on his back, so Jin lay him on his side.
"Should we carry him downstairs?" Yoongi asked, a scared look on his face as it started to dawn upon him that something had to be wrong with Hoseok.
"No, the medics from the ambulance will carry him with a stretcher." Jin said, shaking his head. "He will probably wake up before that, but I think it's best for him not to get up this time. He was feeling sick already, wasn't he?"
"He threw up like four times..." Taehyung nodded, his face blank. He felt extremely worried, don't get me wrong, but he wouldn't show it. He pushed all of that away.
"This can't be just exhaustion and stomach ache." Yoongi said, shaking his head. "He's sick. He's very sick, isn't he, hyung?"
"I don't know, Yoongi." Jin said, a horrified expression on his face as he too knew something had to be wrong. He knew, but he just couldn't think of what was wrong. Hoseok had been eating well - apart from throwing it all back up today - and he'd been sleeping more than any of them. He'd been taking vitamins, he'd been drinking lots of water...what on earth could be wrong?
"Hyung, the ambulance is here!" the three heard Jimin yell from downstairs.
At that point, Hoseok woke up. He'd heard Jin and Yoongi talking, but he hadn't been able to understand what they were saying. Now, he was fully awake and he had his eyes slightly open. He looked at Jin and saw the horrified expression on his face.
"I'm so sorry, hyung." Hoseok whispered, a few tears escaping his eyes. He knew what had happened. He was on the ground and Jin's face was filled with nothing but worry. It was obvious.
"What? What are you sorry for, silly. You did nothing wrong. On the contrary, you did everything right. I don't know what's going on, Hobi." Jin said, tears escaping his eyes as well. "But we're going to make you better, alright? You'll go to the hospital and the doctors will make you better."
"Hospital?" Hoseok asked in tired confusion.
At that point, the medics came upstairs and assessed the situation. Taehyung quickly explained to them what had happened, and they nodded before - as Jin had said - putting Hoseok on a stretcher.
"Oh?" Hoseok chuckled weakly. "There I go."
"Silly Hobi." Jin said, chuckling with tears in his eyes.
"Is someone staying with him in the ambulance?" one of the medics asked.
The three boys looked at Hoseok, who lay down his head tiredly. "Jin-hyung." he whispered.
"Hobi, don't sleep." Jin said immediately when he noticed Hoseok was closing his eyes again. "Hobi, listen to me, don't fall asleep, okay? Stay awake. Stay strong."
"I'm strong." Hoseok said with a goofy grin.
"Our Hobi is strong." Taehyung said with a smile, patting Hoseok's hair. "Now go to the hospital and listen to Jin-hyung, okay?"
"Okay." Hoseok said, nodding.
Then, Jin and the medics left with him on the stretcher, exiting their house as fast as they had entered.
