Chapter 2
"Thank you again for tonight," Dylan gulped as we walked down my hallway, heading to my room.
"Oh my God, don't worry about it," I laughed, looking up at him. "You know, Travis told me not to tell you this, but he said you're his favorite freshman," I smiled as Dylan smiled softly, looking over at me.
"But he's drunk," he gulped, the two of us stopping in front of my door.
"You've never heard that a drunk man's words are a sober man's thought?" I giggled, grabbing my key from my pocket.
"Okay, but he was plastered," Dylan laughed as I shrugged, unlocking and opening my door.
"You want to come in?" I gulped as Dylan just looked at me. "To talk?" I smirked as he laughed, nodding his head, following me in.
"How nice is it having a single?" He chuckled, putting his hands in his pockets as he looked around.
"I mean, I like it. Sometimes it's boring, but that's when I go and bother Liv," I giggled, looking at Dylan. "You can sit wherever you want. I have stuff in the fridge, feel free to help yourself," I smiled as he nodded, smiling softly before sitting down on my desk chair.
I turned on the Christmas lights I used to decorate my room, turning off the main light. I went into my closet, grabbing a grey Rangers sweatshirt and a pair of shorts. I pulled my sweatshirt on over the shirt I went out in, and quickly traded my jeans for the shorts. I tied my long, straight, dirty blonde hair up into a messy bun, jumping onto my bed, hugging one of my pillows as I leaned against the brick wall, smiling at Dylan.
"So, Dylan, where are you from?" I smiled as he laughed, clearing his throat.
"I'm actually from Michigan," he smiled as I gasped, giggling softly.
"How far are you from here?"
"I'm from Waterford which is only like an hour from here,"
"No shot! That's sick!" I laughed, smiling brightly as he just laughed.
"Where are you from?" He chuckled, smiling at me.
"Mass," I smiled as he nodded.
"So, where do the Rangers fit in?" He smirked, gesturing to my sweatshirt.
"My older brother, he just signed with them back in April," I smiled as Dylan looked at me strangely.
"Who's your brother?" He sat up.
"I have two brothers. Kevin and Jimmy Hayes," I gulped as Dylan's jaw dropped, a big smile growing on his face.
"That's sick," he laughed as I shrugged.
"It's okay I guess," I giggled, smiling at Dylan. "Do you think Zach and Liv are in her room or his?" I giggled, laying down, still hugging my pillow close to me.
"They're in his, well, ours," Dylan laughed as I gasped, smiling softly.
"You're Zach's roommate?!" I smiled as Dylan nodded.
"Yeah," he laughed as I giggled softly, shaking my head.
"How many times a week do you get kicked out?" I smirked.
"More than you probably think. I think that's why Travis likes me so much. Whenever Zach kicks me out, I usually go to the seniors' house and crash on their couch," he laughed, as I just shook my head.
"Do you snore?" I giggled, sitting up as he looked at me strangely. "I asked, do you snore?" I smirked as he laughed, shaking his head.
"I don't?" He laughed as I smiled, nodding my head.
"Then you can stay here tonight if you want," I smiled as Dylan just shook his head.
"I'm not going to intrude on your space-"
"I'm not letting you go to that house, so either you stay here tonight or I go with you to that house, and I'm honestly not trying to go back there," I sighed, Dylan, smiling at me as he nodded his head.
"Alright, fine," he laughed, standing up, pushing the chair in. "Can I borrow a pillow?" He gulped as I looked at him strangely. "To sleep on the floor," he mumbled as I rolled my eyes, shaking my head.
"You aren't sleeping on the floor," I laughed, climbing under my blankets, scooting close to the wall as I looked at Dylan. "If you're too scared to sleep in the same bed as me, then you can sleep on top of the blankets, even though I'd prefer if you didn't," I sighed, looking at Dylan. "I am going to sleep now, goodnight," I smiled, laying down and turning towards the wall. As I laid there with my eyes closed, I felt Dylan climb into my bed, making me smile.
