After the small break to refresh themselves, the two young men carried on with their journey. Although, it was clear that they needed sleep but they had no time to waste; they had to keep going. With heavy feet, they pulled their weight passing a hill. The hill was covered with white flowers and white trees. It seemed too magical which made Jimin a little skeptical. The trees seemed like they were a decade old. The branches were solid yet oldish. Leaves were white as snow, but hints of green were spread through-out it. The grass on the hill was dark green, very fresh, as if no one walked on it ever. "Woah," Hwan awed. "Where the hell are we?"
The young man with the black scarf stopped to admire the flowers. Pulling the scarf off of his face and to his shoulders, exposing his purple hair that illuminated with all the white flowers and stood out. He got on his knee and picked up a fully developed flower. "I've heard about this place, but this is the first time I've seen it in person," pulling the flower to his nose, and sniffing it. His eyes widened, "these smell really good." He looked at Hwan and handed him the flower. "I think we are in the White Pearl Heart."
A huge smile spread across Hwan's face. That flower smelled really good. It smelled like multiple things. At first it smelled like pure honey mixed with vanilla, then after that, a seawater scent mixed with coconut. "I'll take a couple!" He commented, giggly.
Jimin held his hand before he took any of the flowers. "These flowers can't leave this land," he warned his friend.
Hwan waited for the rest of Jimin's sentence but nothing seemed to be out of his mouth after that. "Why?"
The young man stood up and placed his scarf back on his head, "I don't know," shrugged his shoulder and smiled, "I never heard the reason, but trust what you know."
The blonde walked off with his eyes rolled, "you and your tales, I don't want to believe you but I also don't want trouble. So, I'm not going to take any." He threw the flower he already hand and carried on with his journey.
Later on, the two saw big wide gates. "Is that the Academy?" Hwan said, astonished.
Jimin nodded. It was located almost in the middle of nowhere. Nothing was close to it. Not a village, not a small market, not even animals or farms. "It's bigger than I thought."
The two stopped. There was no way to walk any further since a huge lake covered the enormous academy all the way around it. "How are we suppose to get in? By swimming?" Hwan asked his friend.
Jimin never got any directions on how to get in. He only got directions on how to get there. He looked around it, even swimming seemed like the wrong answer. "There has to be an efficient way."
"I'll take a look around the corner," he rested his red scarf on his shoulders and left Jimin to check in the back if there was a way.Jimin stayed there, thinking deeply. But, the thoughts got cut off once he heard a voice. "How are we suppose to get in?!"
He turned around and saw a foreign face. He memorized his features pretty quickly. He had light blue curly hair, bangs that covered his forehead and his side beautifully, and dimples sharper than his nose. "Oh wait I know!" He commented again. "I'll just take out my yacht from my small pocket."
Jimin smiled at his stupid comment. "He seems friendly..." he thought. "I don't know, I just got here. That yacht would be helpful." He replied.
He smiled, "thank god you didn't take that to heart. Nice to meet you," he reached his hand out. "I'm Hoseok, but I'm known as Hoseok."
Jimin smiled again. He looked at his hand and shook it. He noticed something as soon as he did that, a huge emerald stone around his belt. He's from the West. "You're a Green Phantom?"
"Sharp, aren't you?"
They took back their hands and looked at the same direction since Hwan came back yelling. "There isn't a way in the back too!"
Hoseok observed Jimin but still had no idea where he came from. Although, as soon as he saw Hwan and his red scarf that was made from wool, he knew. "Mountain wolves."
Jimin looked back at him and smiled, "it took you long enough," he noticed that Hoseok stepped back hesitant, "don't worry; we don't bite."
"I guess swimming it is!" Hwan yelled as he got closer to the water, and before he jumped in, he was saved by Jimin pulling him back.
"Are you dumb!?" Jimin scolded him. He shook his head terrified by the idea that the water wasn't safe- no he knew it wasn't. There was no way a harmless lake would surround the school just because.
Hoseok started laughing, "I can't believe he was about to jump in!" He said out loud.
The young man with the red scarf was embarrassed. His face turned red as he stood up quickly, "don't laugh! You would have done the same."
Jimin rolled his eyes and ignored both. He needed to find a way in. Looking at the huge gold gates and the water, he noticed a rock in the middle of the water. He looked up at the gates and noticed a handle on one of the polls. He smiled. "Hwan, you can leave," before he can reject, Jimin guided him away from the Academy. "You dropped me off safely, now leave. Sleep in the White Pearl Heart. It's safe under the tree. You don't need to cross the forest, there is a desert behind the lake but it's further away, it's safe. Then you will know your way once you see the mountains." Patting his head and smiling. "I'm going to miss you."
Hwan didn't want to leave just yet, but he didn't challenge him. He needs to leave before he gets too attached and doesn't. "I guess you found a way in," he smiled. Pulling Jimin by his waist and hugging him tightly, "promise me you will eat your meals. Promise me you will take care of yourself. Promise me that you will visit me whenever you get the chance. Promise me you will be safe." His voice cracked.
Hwan's eyes watered. The two have been together since their teenage years and now it's been eight years together. "Promise me, Jimin."
Jimin had to be the brave one here and pull him out of the hug. "I promise. Now go!" He made him turn and leave. And without looking back, he also turned back to the Academy.
"Talk about dramatic." Hoseok scoffed.
Adjusting his backpack tightly onto him. Making sure his combat boots are tightly on. He looked at Hoseok worried, "we have to climb in, that's the only way."
Before he could explain to Hoseok anymore details. He jumped on to the rock in the middle of the lake. He caught himself a little wobbly so he straightened his bent knees. Hoseok watched him and realized that he needed to tighten his backpack too. Jimin then jumped to the gate, accidentally hitting his shoulder hard on one of the polls but managed to grab tightly on to the handle and pull himself up. Climbing to the top of the huge gates. As soon as he got to the top, he noticed that it wasn't the end. "I'm already tired." He thought.
Looking down and seeing Hoseok following his moves. He looked back to the platform on the other side of the gate. Switching ways and going down to that platform he smiled, finally something stable to take a break on. He caught his breath and searched for the next hint. "Ahh!" He exclaimed as he saw a rope hanging on the platform he was on.
His hands scratched as he slid down. His palms burned but he kept going. Jumping down to the ground, finally. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't the welcoming he needed.
"You made it."
Jimin looked at who addressed him. By the sight of it. He knew he was his instructor. He looked young but buff. Handsome but brave. Tall but smart. His presence and his confidence made him admire him in a kind of a way. He had that aura to him. "You must be Jimin. Welcome, this was the first challenge. And congratulations, you got in!"
