While the sun was setting in the mountains, an attack never happened. Jimin didn't know if he felt relieved or suspicious. He was sitting on the edge of the cliff as his legs dangled down while he made Jungkook stay back in the cave after the comment he made. He observed the beautiful skies as he looked over his home. While his legs dangled, the young man was supporting himself with his hands on the rocks as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the cold wind. His body shivered a little since the hoodie he was wearing didn't warm him enough, but it was fine by him since he was used to it. He felt the huge dragon wrap around him like a huge blanket. His wings shielded Jimin's front body and completely covered him up. "I thought you were sleeping." Jimin said as he looked at Jungkook. The dragon licked his cheek and it made Jimin giggle. "Stop it!" He started petting him but then Jungkook changed back to his human form. He was back hugging him while Jimin was between his legs, cuddled. "Why are you being so touchy today?"
The meta-human rested his head on Jimin's shoulder, "I'm just cold," he whispered into his ear as he watched it turn pink, "tell me more about you, Jimin. I want to know you... you should trust me enough to start opening up to me, like I did with you."
Smoke filled the air as the young man breathed out. He looked at the sky as he felt Jungkook's warm breath on his skin. "I do trust you. What do you want to know?"
His head was lifted quickly as his eyes widened. "Really? You're going to tell me?" His eyes smiled before his lips did in excitement. He saw him nod as he started thinking of questions, "okay, okay. I guess I'll ask about how it was growing up in the mountains." He rested his head again on his shoulder as he waited for Jimin's response. The young man had to be careful not to turn to look at him because of the blue horns on Jungkook's head.
He giggled, "I never knew you were so eager to know about my life." He closed his eyes and the smile faded away from him face. "I didn't grow up here. This wasn't my home." He stared at the clouds, "I actually grew up in the castle, I'm not a prince though. I'm an adopted son of the King."
Jungkook raised a brow, "but you're adopted? That should make you a prince."
The young man shook his head, "for us it's by blood. So, I'm technically not one." He explained. "I knew I was adopted. I mean, the king made it very clear. I tried finding my mother, but, the king knew and executed her before I can meet her... I wanted to ask my mom a lot of things. I wanted to see if I looked like her. I wanted to know when my birthday was since I never celebrated it... but I couldn't." he took a pause as he felt Jungkook's hand wrap around him tighter as he held his hands. "I ran away, and kept running away until I collapsed at a desert near here. The wolves found me and brought me to the mountains since I was quite young. They raised me and now they're my real family. During all these years; I trained to be an assassin. I mean, I haven't killed any human. But, I plan on killing the king."
Jungkook didn't want to interrupt him and ask questions yet, but he was surprised. He listened carefully to what Jimin was saying. "My family here don't know about that. It's a secret that I've not told anyone... well except you. I know you would understand my position and why I would want to kill the King." Jimin rested his head on Jungkook's. "That's why I worked hard to get into the Academy. I need just a little more skills before I attempt my plan." He moved so he can see Jungkook's facial expressions but he had a blank look on his face.
Jungkook straightened up and made Jimin turn and face him. He was still sitting between his legs, the human was still holding hands with Jungkook. "You've had that goal since you were really young, huh?" He asked, softly. He saw him nod with a smile, "You've had a painful childhood and I get why you have your goal, however..." he gulped as he looked down at them holding hands, "I know it might sound harsh, but, don't you think it's a bit childish?"
Jimin's grip loosened up, "childish? I mean not really. The king has never given me love. He was cruel to me. He killed my mom that I never met." He explained himself more hoping that Jungkook would understand his view point.
"I understand." Jungkook smiled, "I don't like the King either, he has mistreated meta-humans for years now. But, think about why you're doing this. Revenge won't make you feel better. He does deserve death and more, but you will not feel any different after killing him. You've been grieving for years and you didn't give yourself a chance to be at peace. All these years, you've had that goal, but have you ever given yourself a moment to think of your mom's feelings-"
Jimin slipped his hands out of Jungkook's and slapped him. "Don't act like you know me and my feelings."
The meta-human didn't expect that from Jimin, at all. He couldn't make eye contact with him. "I get that I'm crossing a line right now but this is too much." His voice deepened as he looked back at Jimin, "if you aren't even willing to listen to me, then I'm not willing to help you with this."
The human frowned, "fine! Leave, I don't need you anyways." He stood up and walked in the cave.
The meta-human also stood up, "this is why I don't do promises." He said it loud enough for Jimin to hear as he changed to his dragon form and flew away.
"Whatever," Jimin placed his backpack beneath his head and tried to get some sleep. "This is why I never told anyone. He wouldn't understand, he's just a dragon." He closed his eyes but sleep never met him that night. He was wide awake as he witnessed the sun rise from his cave. He looked around and saw that Jungkook never came back. "A lot of students said we wouldn't last, they were right."
He packed up and started going down to go say hi to Hwan. He missed his family and decided that he would tell them he was just visiting. He saw Hwan from the distance playing with the village kids. "I guess you're still slacking and not hunting food."
Hwan turned around and saw Jimin. He was surprised and happy at the same time. He ran and gave him a big hug. "Jimin!"
The young man giggled, "I missed you."
Hwan smiled widely, "don't say I'm slacking! A bunch of fresh caught animals were just placed at everyone's doors in the morning. We don't need to hunt for like a whole month."
The purple haired man rose a brow, "I guess whoever did it was probably really good at hunting..." he thought of Jungkook. "Let me go say my greetings to your family."
