I woke up and oddly enough felt rested. There were so many things happening in my life and I really needed to see my best friend and talk things over with her. I feel like in just a short amount of time, my life has been turned completely upside down. Asher was already gone somewhere, so I got up and went into the suites bathroom to freshen up.

I turned the shower on and gathered some of the free hotel soaps and shampoos. I got in the shower and lathered up my body. I couldn't help but think about how intense my rendezvous' with both Asher and Kade had been. How was it, that I could go from single one day; to sleeping with two men the next. Well, a shapeshifter and a God... what? Is this my life now?

So many things have changed, my Mom is dead, I now know who my real Mother was. Oh, and Asher's Dad apparently wants to kill me so that's just fucking great.  I shrugged my shoulders and just let the hot water cascade down my flesh. The heat worked its magic loosening the tension in my muscles. I finished my shower and got out towel drying my hair. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, as I brushed my teeth. I guess, I didn't think of myself as special. In college, Ruby had always been the one to stand out in the crowd while I had gone along for the ride.

I gave myself, a once over in the mirror looking at my body in a new light; I could change into a wolf. I had tapped into a font of magic while having sex with a God. Ha! A literal sex god. I laughed out loud at that. My reflection was smiling, I never noticed the light behind my eyes when I smiled. Hmm maybe that was new... a shiver ran down my spine, as I remembered that Kade said he could see me.

Here I was gawking at my body in a mirror and he could probably see this; well I guess I could put on a little show. I smiled wickedly into the mirror and licked my lips. I trailed a hand down my stomach towards my sex slowly, keeping my gaze on the mirror. I touched myself lightly my finger brushing across my sex in slow circles, for a minute or so. I bit my lower lip slightly, and then turned around exposing my backside to the mirror. Looking over my shoulder, I swatted my ass once, just for show. I laughed again, blew a kiss to the mirror, and walked away to go get ready.

I checked my phone and saw Ruby had already texted, "Be at the hotel in 25. C ya soon."

That was fifteen minutes ago, so I dressed quickly in a black skirt, ballet flats and a grey blouse. I ran a brush through my hair quickly and put on a little makeup before heading down to the lobby. I sat down in a soft armchair and waited for Ruby to arrive. Not even five minutes passed before she came through the hotel doors like a whirlwind.

Ruby

I scanned the hotel entrance for Ly and saw her waiting in a chair. I hurried across the room and swept her up into a hug, squeezing her tightly. My heart was breaking for her, having just lost her Mother.

"Oh Ly, I'm so so sorry to hear about Mama Claire! If theres anything, you need just let me know alright? Anything, you just say the word." I looked at my best friend, searching her face to make sure she was okay.

"Oh Rubes, things have just been so crazy. I've been holding it together so far; cause it's been such a whirlwind and I have so much to tell you! Come upstairs to the suite, Asher said we could order room service and talk in private." Lyra told me.

"Lead the way Ly, I want to know everything!" I linked my arm in hers as we walked to the elevators.

Lyra led the way and opened the suite door, my eyes went wide with excitement.
