"Shayne, wake up! Shayne," Odom exclaimed, trying to wake up Shayne.

"What? What is it," Shayne groaned, sitting up. Then, he realized what was going on. "It's coronation day."

"Yeah, you need to get up! Your outfit's hanging right here and you have an hour to read through your speech again. Then, it's showtime," Odom said, and then left Shayne in his room. Shayne quickly pulled himself to his feet and put on his royal-looking garb. He looked in the mirror at himself and smiled. He picked up his speech, and focused his mind on Damien, trying to talk to him.

"Damien," Shayne spoke. Damien turned around, then laughed.

"So that's what you're being crowned in? You look ridiculous," Damien said, continuing to laugh. Shayne smiled and shook his head.

"If by ridiculous, you mean fabulous." Shayne smiled, and shook the paper he had in his hand. "This is my speech. Do you mind if I try it out on you?"

"By all means," Damien replied. Shayne cleared his throat and began reading.

"Spirits of The Silent Realm, your leader is here."

"That's a bit forward, isn't it?"

"Damien, they haven't had a formal leader in centuries. I need to start with a bang."

"Alright then. Keep going." Damien smiled. Shayne smiled back and nodded, looking back to his speech.

"I know you've been passing rumors that I'll end up like King Shadow, but I'm promising you right here and now. I'm not going anywhere."

"Aren't you though?"

"What?"

"You've told me you're coming back home. Back to me. Why would you tell them you're not going anywhere?"

"I have to, okay? I need their trust."

"You sure? Because it sounds like what you're doing is gonna keep you there. You don't sound like you're coming back," Damien spoke, warily stepping back from Shayne.

"I am, Damien! I'm going to come back, I swear," Shayne responded, raising his voice.

"Just, keep going," Damien spoke firmly. He gestured to the speech in Shayne's hand, so Shayne looked at it to read the next line.

"Actually, while we're talking about him, King Shadow spoke to me. I found his addition to the castle tucked away in The Drukkaven Vales. He's given me his sorcery so we could help Lady Amraterasu from here, and get back to Eiress while we're at it," Shayne read aloud.

"Sorcery? This old king gave you his powers," Damien asked.

"Yeah."

"And you never thought to use it against Lucifer to get your body back?" Shayne hesitated as he looked at Damien.

"Damien, look. As much as I want to use the powers right now to come back, I can't."

"Why? What's stopping you," Damien questioned. Shayne hesitated and turned away from Damien, breaking their gaze.

"There's a bigger plan here. I can't tell you a lot of it, but there's a war coming. I need to play my part."

"Play your part? For how long? Shayne, you told me you would come home. How much longer do I need to wait for you," Damien questioned. Sighing, Shayne looked his best friend in the eye.

"I'm sorry, Damien. I really am," Shayne spoke, shaking his head. "I guess it'll be longer than I thought it would be."

"You guess? You've been leading me on constantly. When can you tell me you're officially coming home?" Shayne just hesitated.
