A few days after returning to work Nenet entered the office one morning and yawned. Kenshirou watched her as she sleepily walked over to her desk. She sat down and stretched and yawned again.
"Before you get too far Nenet." The woman looked at her supervisor and hummed. Damn, she was tired. She could hardly concentrate. "Could you take these to building 3? Kiji-san's been looking for them." Nenet frowned. She didn't want to go to building 3. It was full of womanizers and she wanted nothing to do with them especially since the tournament. But despite that, she stood up and grabbed the stack of documents Kenshirou had referred to and made her way to building 3.
Lucky for her she was in and out without much trouble and she returned to her own building tiredly. She stretched when she was in familiar halls and yawned again. Geez, she needed some sleep. She walked half-lidded back to the office of building 4.
She was nearly there when she felt a hand catch her wrist. She whirled around and met her supervisor's eye. Nenet covered another yawn and smiled tiredly at him. His eye narrowed down at her as she looked down and leaned away from him subconsciously. The dog supervisor grabbed her chin gently and made her look at him again as he studied her face.
Nenet's eyes were out of focus and she had bags under her eyes. The man scowled and she let out a tired breath. The man sighed and ran a finger over her cheek. The woman hardly reacted to the small token of affection as she nearly fell asleep in his grasp.
"Nenet." She opened her eyes and looked at him. "You will go to the break room and rest." Nenet frowned and slightly pouted but didn't argue. A nap actually sounded nice right now. It was something she definitely needed so she nodded and he released her.
Nenet was able to stumble into the break room where she fell onto the nearest couch and was asleep in seconds.
"Get up!" The cat woman opened her eyes and found herself in a familiar lush world. The same sphinx from the tournament was on top of her and hissed down at her. Nenet scowled and pushed the beast away. "You must train!" The woman sent the cat a glare. The beast prowled closer to the woman as she sat up. "You have no time to sleep."
"I have plenty of time!" Nenet shoved the cat beast away again. She stood to her feet with her fists clenched. "If I don't take care of myself I won't live long enough to learn this power." The sphinx was silent and eyed the woman with her eerie gold eyes.
"There is something coming." Nenet looked at the cat. "Something dark and powerful. You must be ready. It is your birthright." Nenet sighed and shook her head. This was all too much. Her body has been getting destroyed to these constant training sessions and she still has had no break. She wasn't sure how much longer she could survive like this.
"I will be. But not if this continues." The sphinx huffs in reluctance.
"Very well. We'll do it your way. It is your body after all." Nenet didn't like the attitude but said nothing. She just sat and looked at the beautiful world that the sphinx spent their time in while in her mind. It was peaceful and serene.
"It seems your supervisor is sweet on you." Nenet choked as she tried to swallow at that moment. She coughed and looked at the beast in pure surprise with a rising blush on her cheeks. Why the hell would she suggest such a thing? After seeing her face the cat scoffed.
"Oh please. You can't deny that you feel for him. After all, he is quite attractive." Nenet wouldn't deny anything for the sphinx was right. She wasn't blind but she refused to nurse those feelings because he was her supervisor and work relationships were usually frowned upon. All she did was shake her head and she placed her head in her hands. The beast snickered at the woman.
