Recap: Mom dies by Damodar's sword, and a bruised and battered Avantika fades into unconsciousness at the feet of Manager Mini.
Two years later...
Avantika is now 19, which should put her in her last year of high school. She's also highly trained in hardcore artillery.... and positions her sniper rifle on the rooftop of a building...
She trains her sights on the wedding party nearby, finding Manager Mini in her scope...but it's not her she's after. Manager Mini — whose full name is Mini Yadav ... speaks to her over her hidden wire, pointing out the target in the yellow bowtie.
Chairman Kanish, head of shadow organization SS1, joins the proceedings and shakes the target's hand... They keep smiling but Chairman Kanish leans in to deliver an ominous warning...
"Not returning what has been given to u is not what a real man would do!"
Mr. Bowtie makes lame excuses about the things that happen when conducting business, but Chairman Kanish isn't satisfied with that.
Mini gives Avantika the word, telling her, "You'll be fine if you do this just like in training" tipping us off that she's still green to this assassin's lifestyle.
Mini adds "What do u most hate?... Think the target as that." .......... so, Avantika pictures Damodar's face superimposed over her target's.
A complication surfaces when Mr. Bowtie picks up his granddaughter, obscuring the shot.... They're assassins but they aren't in the business of killing innocents if they can help it... so Avantika is told to stand down, but she's only got 30 seconds left before her special bullet melts.
Mini can't take the risk so she orders a retreat.... but a frustrated Avantika changes her position instead, takes aim in seconds, and shoots him square in the back of the skull....
Mirae Corporation...
This is Chairman Kanish's bio-medical research company, which is also a front for SS1, where Avantika is hooked up and treated.
In a flashback to two years ago...
Mini told her ... "U r about to die, but I can save u... ... u have two choices; either work for us... or die right here..."
she chooses life, and thus begins her training. She excels in the following two years, and Mini is pleased with how fast she catches on.
Mini reminds Avantika not to forget how important she'll be to them, and the value of her work. Avantika operates on one sole motivator, and she checks again that Mini will keep the company's promise to find Damodar for her... Mini assures her not to worry on that score, because their former operative is on their shit list, too.
They clash blades in an all-out training session, Mini impressed at Avantika's improved skills and praises her to which she replies...
"I guess, I was born for this"
Marking the end of the session, Mini reminds her "Time for School"
Avantika wails... "Just kill me now!"
-------------------------
She's an outcast here, too, as we see in gym class... The kids mostly half-ass their way through the vault hop exercise, although there's one kid who puts some effort into it: Ranveer, the cute popular boy who sends half-ass a bright smile and is totally showing off for her benefit... She looks away shyly, trying not to show her interest.
