A young boy, black hair with a white tuft on his bangs, was happily giggling about and jumping around a cabin. It was the day of the feast for the village and his brother, Choi Hyunjin was back with a large deer, enough to fill the village for a good three weeks. Hyunjin was the younger brother, however had more strength, enough to genuinely hunt. San was always a helper in the village with tending to the houses and ill. However, their happiness only lived to an extent that night. Screams and blood splattered in the gathering hall, San hiding with Hyunjin in the tunnel that they had created to get away if any trouble happens. Like now. Their mother was with them, the female grabbing Sans hand and running off. San gripped Hyunjin's hand tightly, eyes wide with tears flowing down his face as his mother tried to stifle her own sobbing. Hyunjin, scared, gripped San's hand tightly and tried his best to get through the snow. His mother ended up picking him up and running with him through the snow. San followed behind quickly, letting out terrified whimpers at each scream and yell piercing the normally calm air. A loud snarl echoed in the air and suddenly, San was into a tree with Hyunjin in his arms and his mothers voice was pained as she screamed. San felt something hit his cheek as he reached and touched it before realizing it was blood. San, with wide eyes, slowly looked up and saw some... monster over his mothers bloody body her chest barely lifting. San grabbed the nearest branch, yelling as his eyes flashed blue, a single vein pulsing the color blue all the way down his cheek, neck and shoulder to wrap around his arm.

The branch was dug into the monsters chest and San sobbed heavily as he watched it glow and fall into ash. He scrambled to his mother where Hyunjin was already holding her hand. His mother looked shakily at San and reached with a pale hand, her necklace in her palm,

"T-take this... take t-this and p-protect your b-brother, S-sannie.. You m-must... you must protect.."

She stopped breathing, eyes closing as she died in the bloodied snow around her. San wailed as he clutched the necklace and held onto her dead body. Hyunjin was crying even harder than San, begging his mother to wake up and stop playing around. San heard movement in the trees, tensing before he grabbed Hyunjin and ran the opposite way of the village. They needed to somehow get out and survive. He needed to protect his brother and if it'd kill him getting him to a safe place, then so be it. He headed for the main port where ships would come in to do research here, knowing one was probably here.

"S-san! W-where are we g-going?!"

San felt tears in his eyes again at the sound of his brothers innocent tone and immediately turned when they neared the dock, a boat labelled "Shipment to Seoul" waiting for people to board it. San heard the growls nearby and saw that the boat was beginning to move,

"Hyunjin, get on the boat."

"But San-"

"Go!"

San snapped loudly, Hyunjin feeling tears in his eyes before he nodded and quickly climbed onto the boat, using the long pole with a flag on it. San looked at the forest, the snow doing nothing to mask the black beings stalking towards San. Although, suddenly they were dead and disappearing into glowing ash. San's eyes widened for a split second, turning to see a man on the boat, standing on the very edge of it with a sniper in his hands. San saw Hyunjin standing behind him, hands gripping the mans pants and San understood. Hyunjin went to get help as soon as he was on the boat. Yet, the boat was getting farther away and San was still on the dock. Until suddenly the necklace that was still in his palm starting glowing and it was suddenly transformed into a large wolf, bigger than him. It was beautiful, black with a white diamond shaped patch of fur on its right eye, icy blue eyes piercing San's soft brown ones. The wolf was suddenly crouching, a soft rumble leaving it as if telling San to get onto it's back. Mindlessly, San did so, gripping onto it as it moved and suddenly was running for the edge of the dock. San let out a scared shout but saw ice forming at it's paws As it moved, the water underneath it formed ice whenever it's paws touched the surface of the water and a block of ice formed when it neared the boat. It used that to propel itself and San onto the boat. When they were safe and on the boat, San climbed off and grabbed Hyunjin quickly breathing out in relief. San turned to thank the wolf but all he saw was the necklace on the ground. San picked it up and smiled, putting it around his neck.
