As much as San appreciated everything Jaebum has done for him, he didn't know how to react now that his mind is clear. He felt numb to the information he found out about the older man. Why did he lead them to his village...? Why did he save San and Hyunjin? San had so many questions but he didn't want to approach Jaebum for now. Yet, it was tearing him down, hurting him with how far he was distancing himself from the man he leaned onto to keep his anger controlled, to keep his emotions from going haywire. San trudged through the burnt down garden, wondering why Kihyun was needing him for the arc... Why was it necessary for the vampires to get San? San frowned lightly, pausing as he stared at the blue flowers, one seemingly untouched yet a burst of wind made all the petals fall down into the ash underneath it. It reminded of San how there had been one happiness left, and all it took was a force to take it and ruin it. Jaebum was still someone he cared about despite the cause of the vampires finding his village was because of him deciphering it. He believed Jaebum when he said that if he knew what the outcome would've been he wouldn't have done it. As much as he wanted to bring himself to hate Jaebum, to leave the team and everything behind that reminded him of Jaebum, he couldn't. Jaebum was someone who still saved him despite it. It was problem what was driving Jaebum into working hard. Becuase of what he did to San. San clenched his jaw before turning to see Jaebum standing beside him, eyes on the fallen blue petals of the flower that withered from the wind.

"I know you want to talk, San... If you wish to leave the team i cannot stop you, especially the clear factor of your people being gone is because of me.."

"That's just.. that's the fact. I don't want to.... I convince myself that i should hate you but then i just can't feel any hate. Yeah, im angry but... i don't know if i'd have grown up to be independent if this hadn't happened. You did so much for me that my village wouldn't have let happen... You hadn't hesitated to save me from those vampires despite having led them there... I believe you.. when you said you wouldn't have done if you knew the outcome."

San muttered, voice getting lower as he looked at him. Jaebum looked like he hadn't slept at all, and if anything the whole team probably didn't sleep. San was't the only one affected by this whole mess, everyone was. Jinyoung lost his mansion, the others were stressing over fighting without weapons and Jaebum and San... It was clear what kept them up all night. San moved and just rested his forehead against Jaebums chest and let out a small laugh,

"I can't hate you... i literally can't. You've become too much of a parent figure to me that i can't hate you... I can say it but i can't feel it. I'm not saying i forgive you, no i don't think i'd ever forgive you for it... But you've already atoned for it by saving me and my brother that day, professor. If you deem you still want to do more then do so... i will not stop you but do not let it drive you to your death. Because if i lose you, i don't have anyone anymore."

............

That talk let them be closer than ever as a ''father and son'' relationship. San went to Jaebum more when he needed it and Jaebum started showing more fatherly like affection towards him and even sometimes showed it to the other three. Yeosang had his eyes narrowed on the two walking in front of them, frowning,

"I wonder how San could just forgive him like that.."

"He hadn't. It's clear but he believes that Professor already made up for it.."

Mingi commented. They knew of the situation, they had to be open as a team. Jaebum said as much as he could and let San explain the more important bits he wanted to be out there. Of course, Yeosang started to feel slightly guilty because no wonder San was the way he was. It wasn't a surprise that San had been easy to drag into arguments and Yeosang suddenly felt guilt for talking bad about his people. Hongjoong hummed from beside them,
