When the classes were over, I quickly went down to the club room. That is also after the cleaning time is over... Damn cleaning time being required for level boost...
I slowed down when I saw the choco guy(what was his name again? Shoku?) Exit the clubroom, a worried look on his face. When he spotted me, he acknowledged my presence.
"Oh hey there, Ayano!" He said as he closed the club room door while nervously looking back as if he could still see inside. "The club activities are postponed. Have you not heard?"
"I heard, yes," I explained. "But I went here for Amao. Is he still inside?" I took a glance over his shoulder looking at the closed doors.
Shoku scratched his head. "Yeah, he's... Still there... Uhh" He straightened his posture a bit. "But I don't think it's best to approach him right now. You see... He's like that when he have a bad day."
I nodded in understanding, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't approach. "You're his best friend, right?"
He brightened up to my question. "Why, yes! I know everything about him since!"
I smirked. Now I could get information then.
"So you know what's bothering him, right?"
His expression returned to his nervous one. "Yeah..."
"Who was that girl? The one that he was so angry with?" He averted his eyes to my question warily looking around anything else.
"I shouldn't tell that information... It's a touchy subject to him..." He looked down.
"What? Is she his ex-girlfriend or something?" Stating that did made sense. It clicked through my mind.
"W-wha-!? How did you know?" He was startled.
"Well, you did gave a clue that it was a touchy subject." I said smiling smugly.
Choco boy sighed in defeat. "Yeah... She is also the daughter of the lord that owns the Buraza Town land. Her name is Bitsumi Buraza. She doesn't have the best attitude, but Amao did loved her. Until, well..."
"Well?"
He scratched his head. "I don't think I should be the one to tell you what happened. You can talk to Amao tomorrow maybe." He walked pass me. "For now it's best to head home."
Even if he left and told me not to approach Amao today, I still opened the door inside and found Amao chopping... Meat. He's still smiling even if the splash of blood reaches his face, and there's a scary glimmer in his eyes that almost rivals my snap look.
Why do I see a flash of vision where the meat was actually the bitch he was mad at?
"Amao?"
His eyes turned into pinpricks, shocked to know my presence until he scrambled to wipe his blood-splashed face and laughed nervously. His expression is soft now as he faced me. "Oh, hey..." He pushed the meat aside.
"Sorry for the mess. Was making chops of meat for storage in the fridge. Gonna make dishes tomorrow, afterall." He wiped his sweat. "So what brings you here? I postponed club activities today, I told you that right? Did I?"
"I'm actually here to check on you, Amao." Slowly, I took a step forward. "Are you okay?"
"Oh, Ayano. You know I'm always fine! Afterall, I couldn't help anyone if I have my own problems disturbing my mind." He turned his back. "I can handle stress pretty well."
By that, I could tell he wasn't fine. Heck, I could tell he was slowly losing sanity and he's fighting control. "You know you could tell me about it. I'm also you're friend, remember?"
