Moving away

I've been on my own for 4 months now, Gibbs has moved on, not like i blame him, the way i pushed him away, Tim still hasnt forgiven me for having a relationship with his boss. I can never do anything right. So, i've decided that im leaving, i got nothing to stay here for, im moving to Miami. I'll drop by the office and tell everyone, its a shame i have to leave my friends, Nick and Ellie. I'll miss them the most. I've just decided i need a fresh start, to move on from Gibbs and maybe come back in the future.

3 hours later -

"Update" boss said walking in with his usual cup of coffee. I couldnt really get sassy with him for sleeping with Isla, otherwise id lose my job. As Bishop started updating Gibbs on our current case, he kept looking my way, which hasnt stopped since i found out about the both of them. "McGee?" Bishop said, assuming it was my turn to speak. "No, McGee" she said pointing behind me. I turned around and saw Isla, standing by my desk. I noticed everyone else looking in her direction. "Hey guys" she spoke softly. "McGee, can i talk to you?" She asked. I nodded, I walked over to where she was standing and grabbed hold of her arm and pulled her over to the window. "What are you doing here?" I asked trying not to shout. The rest of the team's eyes was still on me, so was Gibbs. He looked concerned. "Im leaving" she told me. I felt a shiver run down my body. "What? Why?" I asked. "What else have i got here Tim?" She cried. "You havent spoken to me for 3 months." I never realised it had been that long. Guess i got caught up in the twins. "Isla.." I started. "I get you cant forgive me for sleeping with Gibbs. But dont be mad at him when im gone, hes your boss, hes also your friend Tim, he wants whats best for you" she told me. I looked over at him and his eyes was still fixed in my direction, only this time he took a seat. I looked back at Isla. "Are you sure this is what you wanna do?" I asked. She looked up at me and nodded. I smiled at her, put my arms around her shoulders and pulled her in for a hug. As we parted hugs, she looked up and smiled once more before heading to the elevator. I put my head down and tried to get it through my head that this was my fault shes going. I pushed her away, i made her have no family left.

I walked home, tears streaming down my face, what was the worst part is that he didnt even seem like he wanted me to stay. I got down the street of my flat and noticed a group of people leaning against their car. As i got closer i realised who it was. "What are you lot doing here?" I asked, quickly wiping my face. They all smiled and Bishop said how she didnt want me to leave but how she understood i needed a fresh start. Then Torres made a speech and then McGee. "Oh, and Gibbs is taking you to the airport" he finished. "What" i said confused, eyes widening. I looked over Gibbs who smiled at me. "Your bags are already in the boot" he said. I rolled my eyes and gave everyone a hug whilst Gibbs got into the car. "Dont forget to come visit" Bishop said before i got in the car myself. I looked over at them and smiled. "I wont" i replied. "We love you" I did a small laugh before saying "I love you too." I got into the car and nodded at Gibbs. I looked out of my window and gave a big wave to everyone. I will miss them.

The car ride was quiet. I guess we havent spoke much since that day. It was really awkward. We finally arrived at the airport, we got out of the car and went through to the terminal. "Okay, this is where i have to stop" Gibbs said. I put down my bags and ran back over to him. "Thank you for the best night of my life" I whispered. "Alot of people say that to me" he laughed. I gave him a nudge on his shoulder. I went back over to my bags and got on the plane. I am gonna miss this place and i never thought id say this, but im gonna miss Gibbs.

Gibbs's P.O.V.

"I'll miss you Isla. If i only told her that" i said to myself, driving away from the airport. Isla's coat in the passenger seat that she left. Thats all i have of her now.
