Avalons POV

"I said... OK BOOMER" I said louder and then stomped upstairs and slammed the door to my room. I took out my phone and put in my headphones.

*Phonecall from Riley*

uh.. oh no... I don't see how I could be in a phonecall when I couldn't talk..

I let it ring and after around 7 rings it stopped.
I sighed in relief.
Then it started again. I groaned and picked up the phone.

"EAT!" Riley said in a stern tone of voice I nodded well knowing she couldn't see me. She then hung up and I snuck downstairs into the kitchen. I grabbed an entire box of cereal anda spoon and took it to my room.
I took a selfie holding the cereal box and sent it to Riley.

"Happy now?"

The typing dots appeared right away.
"at least it's something... thats not a real meal though!" She responded, making me kinda pissed.
I ate the cereal in the matter of 10 minutes while watching Friends on netflix.
Then a notification tipped in on my phone.

"YUNGBLUD is live on instagram" I unlocked my phone and texted Riley and then started the live stream.
"Yea, I'm watching too!" Riley responded to my text.

"'EEELLOO EVERBODY!" Dom said, face almost pressed to the screen.
What time is it where everyone is at right now? it's 1 AM here"

I was the first to type in chat. "6 pm here in California"
I could see that Dom was reading the chat."Oh,so you're 4 hours behind me then... Avalon" My heart burst when he said my name. I got a text from Riley: "Oh my god you were noticed by Yungblud!"

His face lit up. "Oh, wait, Richland, Washington? That's where Hanford High is located, am I right?" Riley was faster than me this time, but we both wrote "yes" in the chat at the same time. I chuckled to myself.

Dom was reading the chat again "Oh, yea it is! Bummer your school management are some stuck up bitches" I laughed, and my mom burst in.
"Could you quiet down please, you're awfully loud for a kid who doesn't talk!" I rolled my eyes and sighed as she shut the door again.

Suddenly a message was popping up on my screen, "YUNGBLUD is inviting you to join his live" And My messages from Riley was blowing up. I hadn't been paying attention.
"Avalon, are you going to pick it up?" Dom asked. I wrote in the chat as quick as I could "I'm mute... I can't" but he didn't see, as the chat was flooded with people saying to pick them instead. I panicked not wanting to let him down, so I ran to my dresser to get a piece of paper. I picked it up and placed the phone against my wall so he could see me writing.

"Oh, there you are!" He laughed. "What are you doing?" He looked puzzled. I held up the paper reading "Hi, I'm mute". I peeped out from the top of the paper. Dom looked taken aback. "hmm" He stopped. "So, you're mute? Well... anyways, hi, I'm Dominic!"

I waved at the phone shyly.
"Okay... I can't really say this out loud in case any haters are watching... so I'm going to PM you really quick Avalon, is that okay?"
My mouth fell open and I nodded.

I could se him concentrating while typing. And then my phone pinged. "Oh, there it was, I could hear" He chuckled. I clicked it and accidently left the place I had in the livestream. I was sort of relieved, because I didn't feel like I belonged next to him, like an equal.

"oh, there she goes" I heard him say followed by silence - probably him typing.

"So... I'm plotting to still come to your school on Monday, but I didn't want to say in the livestream in case some of the students who Spoke to teachers about my music were in there ... and, now that it's not an official visit, I can't talk to the principal, so I'll need help arranging it ... like ... I don't know where to be, and as I said I can't announce anything, so I figured, maybe you could spread the message to some of your friends?"
I gulped and took a screenshot. I then replied. "OMG, that's crazy, we were so sad, that we wouldn't get to see you, it's great that you're coming still!" I wrote back.
