Chapter 5

"Hey, Jin hyung?" Yoongi looked at the elder who looked back at him, "what's that beeping?"

Jin's eyes filled with sorrow and he sighed.

"Everyone else, except for Tae," his eyes looked to the floor, "let them rest. I fear that the punishments are getting more creative. It's getting ridiculous..." His hands clenched together and Hyunjin put his hand on the older's shoulder, squeezing lightly.

"Where's Tae hyung?" Jungkook asked, his eyes filled with dread.

"I don't know. We didn't even duel today. They told me to come straight here and that's when I found Felix in the hallway," his eyes studied the ground as if it was a new discovery, his voice small.

"You found me?" Felix's head snapped up towards the direction. His face slightly to the left of the direction of Jin.

"Yeah... I didn't even recognize you," Jin's hands fidgeted in front of him, making his broad shoulders appear smaller than usual.

"Thank you," Felix whispered.

"I'm just glad we found you," Jin replied, his eyes leaving the floor and meeting Felix's clouded ones.

"Jungkook, was he your premonition?" Chan inquired. Jungkook slowly nodded his head.

"Premonitions?" Felix's repeated curiously.

"Yeah. Don't talk about it. They still don't know about it..." Jungkook replied, concerned about his "big secret" reaching to the head scientist, Mr. Song. Felix smiled brightly.

"Your secret's safe with me, Kookie!" Jungkook smiled at the older's excitement, his bunny teeth sticking out. His smile quickly dropped when his super-hearing picked up the clicking of dress shoes in the hallway.

"Hide! Don't let him see you!" Jungkook quickly pushed Felix away from the others, swished the curtains closed and herded the others away from the corner of the room, back towards the unconscious Minho.

Mr. Song entered the infirmary to find the boys around Minho's bed.

"Subject 01. Are you done yet?" He interrogated.

"Almost, sir. I just need a couple more sessions..." he meekly responded.

"You're slacking, Subject 01. I'm not going to have to make an example out of you, too, am I?" He proposed, his eyes dead as coal.

"N-No sir. I will speed up, sir. I apologize for the inconvenience," Jin replied curtly.

"Where is Subject 14?" Seungmin posed.

"He is no longer a part of Subject Group BTS." Mr. Song sharply retorted. "Today is a double session. Everyone is expected to be in the training with the exclusion of the losers from earlier and Subject 01 unless plans change. Understood?"

"Yes, sir," they spoke in monotone unison. He left the room without a second glance, the boys frozen until Jungkook sighed, signaling that his hearing could no longer detect the scientist.

Jungkook bolted over to Felix's hidden bed. His hands whipped open the curtain, startling the hiding boy.

"Felix hyung, can you show us where your room was?" Jungkook begged. Felix slowly nodded his head.

"Why?" Felix probed.

"We are getting out of here," Jungkook declared.

"What?!" Hyunjin exclaimed, his voice echoed off the concrete walls.

"Can you keep it down over there?" A voice croaked from one of the curtains. The boys froze as they looked at the direction the voice came from. A pair of white, laceless shoes hit the floor and walked over to the curtain facing them.
