Found Again (Rewriting)

Chapter 28

Jimin and Lisa sat on Jungkook's bed, the youngest's legs separating them. The other members of BTS sat around the room, the air tense as they prepared for the situation.

Jimin took one of Jungkook's hands and one of Lisa's, who mirrored his actions. They both closed their eyes and the rest of the members watched as they slowly slumped forward, signaling that they had made their way into Jungkook's mind.

––Jungkook POV––

"Happy Birthday, Kook."

"I won't be here for awhile, babe. We have a lead on one of the top guards from the lab you were last at. Hopefully we get some answers."

"Merry Christmas, Kookie."

"Hi Jungkook. It's Lixie hyung. We miss you. Lisa noona is going crazy without you."

"I miss waking up in your arms, your bunny smile, your cute little laugh."

"I don't understand why you won't wake up, JK... you're safe now. You're at home."

My hot, rapid breaths fanned in front of my face as I stopped at the edge, my toes curled against the front of the platform. The effects of the serum injected into me began to set in as my muscles involuntarily relaxed, I was unable to move them as they numbed.

My vision blurred as I looked backwards toward the ladder, the vibrations of movement sent shocks up my shaking legs. The winter cap of a guard popped into my view from the opposite side of the platform as a guard climbed up the last few rungs, his body now in full view.

The guard whipped out a black baton from his belt and smacked it against the railing, triggering me to jump. My feet slipped and I felt my body fall into the air. A croaked scream left my lips as my limbs splayed through the air, my scream echoed off of the tile.

My body crumbled as I met the ice cold water. The liquid filled my mouth and lungs as I sank lower and lower to the bottom. My head pounded with blood as the waves pulled me farther away from the sides of the pool, I was unable to move as my muscles refused to listen to my brain.

I felt myself drifting into unconsciousness when I felt someone grab my arms pulling me up and out of the water. I coughed as water spilled from my mouth and I tried to gulp in air at the same time. Hands patted my back as I laid on the ground, I blinked my eyes open to find Lisa and Jimin crouched in front of me.

"H-How? I...I watched you die. I watched all of you die! Did I finally die? Did they finally kill me? Wait... I can hear? I'm not deaf anymore?" I rambled as I looked at the scenery around me, I was no longer in the swimming pool, but in the common room of the first laboratory I resided in, my brain struggled to grasp the situation before me.

"No, love. You are not dead. We aren't dead. It was just an illusion and Jin healed you months ago. You've been home for five months now, I think it's time for you to wake up, babe," Lisa smiled her gorgeous smile and my breath got caught in my throat as her fingers intertwined with mine, my heart pounded in my chest as she stared at me with those beautiful, kind eyes.

"I'm asleep? How do I wake up?" I looked to Jimin hyung for answers, he's been stuck in his head before, he must know how to get out.

"I think all you have to do is think about it, JK, but remember, you are safe at our new home, and you have made a lot of friends while you've been asleep. I don't know if you heard their stories, but you have become quite the talk around town for Subjects.

They were excited to here about you waking up, but that was just your shell, we need the real you... so wake up soon, okay? We have to go, anymore and it could affect one of us. It's good to see you again, Kookie," Jimin's eyes turned into crescents as he flashed his smile at me before they disappeared into thin air, leaving me alone.
