The Dragon's Game

"Are you ok?" Donnie helps April get up.

"Y- yeah, I'm fine. But um... could you give me a moment." April takes off her jacket.

"Of course." Donnie gave her some space.

"Thanks." April turns around and covers her mouth with the jacket, to scream into it.

Donnie couldn't understand what all the muffled yelling was about but he figured it was best to not know.

"Ok, I'm all good now." She puts her jacket back on.

"Phew, that's a relief. Raph! What was all that about- Whoa!" Donnie tried to scold Raph but he had to dodge a punch from the giant turtle.

"Hey, cut it out!" April steps in front of Donnie in a protective stance.

Raph just tunes them out and starts pushing the cart with his other brothers, towards a room.

"Don't ignore us!" Donnie chases after him.

"Hey, wait for me!" April follows them to the room.

Once they all got into the room, the door was now completely shut down along with the alarms. Inside the room there were boxes and boxes full of snacks that almost reached the ceiling.

"Raph, I demand that you quit being a jerk and apologize to April ALREADY!" Donnie yelled.

"Join the Purple Dragons, Donnie." Raph said with a blank expression on his face.

"W- What?! Stop acting crazy!" Donnie ordered.

"Join us, Donnie." Leo suddenly got up.

"Yeah, it will be totally fun." Mikey jumped out of the cart.

"Especially since you don't have to follow the law." Raph said.

"We can take whatever we want." Leo said.

"And if you full fill your part of the deal..." Mikey said.

"We can rule the whole world." They all said in unison with the same soulless eyes.

"Wh- Oh, I get it! This is one of Kendra's tricks, ISN'T IT?!" Donnie asks rhetorically.

"So what if it is? How are you going to stop us?" Leo said.

"You don't have muscles like Raph's." Raph said.

"You're reflexes aren't fast like Mikey's." Mikey said.

"You're not as daring as Leo." Leo said.

"Let's face it. Without your tech your nothing." They all explained in unison.

The painful words of truth, pierced through Donnie scales like butter but he knew he had to stay strong. For his brothers. "(Come on think, how am I going to save them? Wait what's that on Leo's neck?)" Donnie wonders as he tries to get a better look at it.

"Now wait just a gosh darn minute!" April intervened. "I know you guys are probably not in your right mind at the moment, but that's no way to talk about your own brother!"

"Ugh, you again. Will you just buzz off already. You're not smart or useful enough to join our team." Leo retorted even though his eyes stayed just as blanked.

"Pfft, I rather join a literal rock band then be on the same team with a cowed like Kendra." April shot back.

"That's it! AaahHh!" Leo charged at her with his sword.

"Um, I guess we're fighting now." Mikey said in a confused tone.

"Sounds great to me!" Raph even though his eyes were blank, sounded excited.

They all started fighting each other.

Later:

Donnie and April quickly hide behind some boxes so that they can finally catch their breaths.

"You know April, I don't think this is the work of the Mental Intelligence Reproglamulater." Donnie says quietly.

"What do you mean? How else do you explain all of this insanity." April whispers back.

"I noticed that there was a computer chip on Leo's neck. Which means that there's probably a computer chip on all of them. If that's the case then the only reason that Kendra would be using them in the first place is because you really did wipe away all the code." Donnie pondered.

"I did what now?" April asked in disbelief.

"So, perhaps they're being possessed by those little things. Instead of just a few personality swaps." Donnie concluded.

"Possessed? Uh... Donnie, not trying to be a skeptic here but I don't think there are any ghosts around here." April said carefully.

"No, I meant that the chips are only controlling their body's. Which means-" Donnie tried to explain but stopped when Leo jumped in front of them.

"Aww, looks like the 'silly little pancake' finally figured it out. But that's still not going to help you!" Leo taunted with a swing from his sword.
