A week later:

Donnie was currently fixing his purple suit in front of the mirror. Then peels off the bandage from his face. "Ouch. There we go. Dang, now that's what I call perfection." He confidently told his reflection.

"Almost." Leo said from behind as he sprayed cologne all over him.

"*cough* Stop it Leo! I don't need any more." Donnie pushed the cologne away from his face.

"Bro, let's be real for a second here." Leo casually puts an arm around Donnie's shoulder. Only for Donnie to uncomfortably shift out of his grasp. "We live in the sewers. So I say better safe than sorry." Leo warily warns with a shrug.

Donnie ponders about his advice. Until Mikey comes bursting into the room with a huge grin on his face. "Donnie! I finished wrapping your gift for, you know who. *wink*" Mikey handed him the small present.

"Thanks. Now I just need to find my- *Leo sprays cologne at him* I SAID QUIT IT LEO!" Donnie angrily snatches the bottle away from him. Then proceeded to look around the room.

"Fine but don't blame me when your date turns into a bust." Leo said with a shrug.

"Leo." Mikey gives Leo a stern but concerned look. "You know Donnie gets nervous about this kind of stuff."

"What? You know I'm only joking." Leo instantly defended.

"Have you guys seen my hat anywhere?" Donnie asked as he looked under his bed.

"Here you go, Don." Raph handed him the matching hat with a big yellow feather.

"Thanks Raph- Raph?!" Donnie gets up in a panic. "What are you doing here?! You're supposed to be out on patrol?!"

"You've got nothing to worry about. Tonight is really quiet and during the patrol I ran into, April with a torn up dress. She said that a squirrel was trying to steal it." Raph clarified.

"I told you those little fluff balls of horror were dangerous." Mikey mumbles darkly as all of his older brothers just stare at him in confusion.

"Y-yeah... So anyways. She looked so sad, so I decided to fix the dress. Once I was done, I drove her back here." Raph finished explaining.

"Wait, what?! She's here?! Now?! I was supposed to pick her up!" Donnie anxiously explained. "What am I supposed to do now?"

"Hehe, whoops. Sorry, I forgot." Raph apologized with a nervous chuckle.

Donnie took in a deep breath. "That's all right, I can still make this work." With that he put on his hat and left the room.

As he climbed down stairs he heard his brothers yelling. "Good luck bro!" And really hoped his date didn't hear that.

At the garage he found April in a glamorous, sparkly, yellow dress with emerald green frills that all just complimented her dark skin. "Wow and here I thought you couldn't get any more beautiful." Donnie mumbled in astonishment.

"What?" April asked.

"U-umm... I-I said nice dress." Donnie said as his cheeks heated up.

"Heh, thanks. Raph helped me fancy up this old thing." April explained. "And nice, *sniff* uhh... cologne?" She complimented on the peculiar smell.

"Thanks." Donnie said with a blush.

"I told you so!" Leo yelled with a cheeky grin on his face, from the entrance of the room.

Donnie's face turned redder than a tomato and shouted. "SHUT UP LEO!"

"Don't hate me because I was right! Hehe." Leo kept on snickering as he ran away.

"Hehe. Well, we better get going if we want to beat traffic." April said with amusement as she grabbed his arm. Putting a smile on his face.

Before either one could say another word. Shelldon flew down from the ceiling and snapped a photo of them. "Perfect! This is definitely going in the scrapbook."

"Oh, could you make a copy for a picture frame." Donnie asks in delight. Then quickly reframed in embarrassment. "I-I mean, if that's alright with you April."

"Sure, I don't mind as long as I can get a copy too." April said with a grin.

"No problem dudes. I'll have it done before you get back." Shelldon proclaimed.

Later:

Raph was nervously pacing back and forth. While Leo was sitting on the couch, reading a comic book and Mikey drawing on his sketchbook, right next to him.

"You guys think he's doing alright? How long has it been since Donnie left again?" Raph asked impatiently.

Leo looked up from his comic book to say. "Thirty years."

"What?!" Raph yells in shock.

Leo started laughing like a hyena. "Haha! Your freak outs are hilarious! Haha!"

Both Raph and Mikey looked at the red ear slider like he was crazy.

"Ha. Ha. Oh... but seriously. It's only been about a half hour." After Leo calmed down, he continued to read his comic book.

Mikey set aside his sketchbook to look at his oldest brother. "Relax Raph, I'm sure their date is going well."

"I sure hope so. Remember the last time Donnie came back from a date. He ended up being all, you know... not, so well." Raph gently recalled, as Leo's grip on his comic book tightened at the mere mention of the event.

"You've got nothing to worry about. He's with April and there's no way she's going to let something bad happen to him." Mikey assured him.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right." Raph agreed as his nerves were settling down.

"Hey dudes, check this out! I just finished printing the photo." Shelldon flew into the living room and displayed the photo in front of them.

Leo got up to admire the picture of the new couple, with his brothers. "Hmm, not bad."

"Wow, the lighting looks so pretty." Raph complemented.

"Aww, they look so happy together." Mikey commented in delight.

"Yeah, I know. I'm awesome that way. Which is why I'm going to be the best man at the wedding." Shelldon declared.

"What?! No way, you're not even his brother." Mikey argued in annoyance. "You're more like... his son in a way." He mumbled.

"Well, neither are you. Biologically." Shelldon retorted.

"*gasp* How dare you use facts against me!" Mikey yelled back in offense. "I'm the one who brought them together in the first place!"

"Oh please. You didn't even know they liked each other until I told you so!" Shelldon retorted.

"Well 'excuse me' for wanting some solid evidence before jumping into any conclusion!" Mikey argued sarcastically.

"Guys, guys, calm down." Leo interfered. "Let's just all agree that I'm 'obviously' going to be the best man because I'm his favorite bro."

"Pfft- haha! Good one Leo!" Mikey bursted out into an uncontrollable fit of laughter.

"L.O.L. That is officially the funniest joke, you have ever made." Shelldon states as he laughs with Mikey.

"Raph, I was only partly joking. I'm not sure how I should feel about this." Leo quietly told Raph.

"Pfft- Must. Not. Laugh." Raph mumbled through his hand.
