one last time
_"yeah. sorry mom," izuku kissed her on the cheek and went to his room.
he set the untouched cake down on the floor."how'd I let it come to this?" izuku asks himself. a long sigh came shortly after.
he looked around his room. so many memories here. good and bad. the all might action figures and posters he used to have scattered around his room. honestly, the movies he watched about the 'hero' all might got him threw most of the bullying in his younger years. he used to act like powers and all were real. it helped him feel like he had control over his life back then.
now he was going to go work for the yagi records. he'd be a part of a talent group. no one knows other than his mother.
deku slid two fingers on his old desk, where he spent hours writing song lyrics.
he looked to his bed where he and katsuki had their first kiss. bakugou was forced to hang out with deku that day. izuku just turned on their favorite movie: all might's dark arc. katsuki watched while All Might kissed the woman and said how we loved her for sticking by his side for so many years. katsuki got to thinking and he thought deku was kinda like her. sticking to his side like glue, never wanting to let go. annoying is what he call it, but deep down he knew he loved it.
he turned to deku, grabbed his face, and kissed him. it was a quick kiss and wasn't exactly a kiss, considering deku didn't even have time to pucker up. what can i say? they were eight.
izuku laughed thinking of how red katsuki was and how he marched out of the room after that.
another memory slipped its way in. a more recent one. the one where bakugou begged for izuku's forgiveness one last time. asking izuku to be his one last time. kissing him one last time.
"izuku honey, will you come out here? and please bring your guitar too," inko asked outside his door.
"okay, ill be right out," he let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. he grabbed the case, already knowing what was to come.
he opened his door to see only inko's closer friends, her sisters, and katsuki leaning up against the wall watching the tv with a small smile. they were all sitting around the tv. izuku heard himself as a tween.
the twelve-year-old prodigy sang his heart out while cooking his mother breakfast for her thirty-ninth birthday. he was in his all might pajamas. he let out a nervous laugh while rubbing his neck. a slight blush dusted his cheeks.
he belted out the lyrics of fly me to the moon, by frank sinatra.
"that was a while ago huh?" izuku laughs.
after the video ended, the yelps of an encore started.
"I uhh- are you sure?"
"yes, please honey. we'd love to hear you sing," inko smiled.
"uhh okay. is there anything specific you guys want to hear?" everyone said different things until katsuki suggested an original and the others agreed.
"well, um- I've been working on this one song but it's kinda sad. I don't know if you'd want to hear it-" they agreed right away so izuku pulled up a chair and pulled out his guitar.
