izuku stepped into the large studio. it was so calm compared to other stations he's been to and by other, I mean the two in his town. way understaffed.

he walks further into the studio entrance. he walked up to the reception desk but no one was in sight.

"hello?" izuku set his guitar case against the counter, waiting for someone to answer.

he noticed that the door behind the desk was opened.

"is someone in there?" he asked, getting on his tiptoes hoping to get a better look.

"toru not here?" a calm voice asked behind izuku. a man with bi-colored hair and eyes stood behind him.

"I suppose not? but I hope I'm wrong. I'm going to be awfully late if I don't hurry," izuku said blowing his curls out of his face.

"oh? who are you here to see? I could walk you there," the taller man said. he reached over the counter and grabbed a pair of gold keys.

"oh, I'm here to see mr yagi. I'm izuku midoryia," he smiled.

"shoto todoroki, and are you the kid we're signing today?" he asked, picking up izuku's case, signaling him to follow.

"uhh, hopefully."

"they say you're talented. is that true?" todoroki asked.
"I mean I can sing a couple of tunes," izuku said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"It's fine when you're with me, but with everyone else, you need to be confident. they won't take you seriously. they will think that you don't mean business. it's not my job but to save you from future lectures from your manager, I expect you to have listened carefully," he explained.

"oh, okay. so confidence in a brand is a tool in marketing. so I guess it'd be like I was a taiyaki and I was trying to sell it..." with that izuku starts mumbling for a good thirty seconds before todoroki interrupts with a chuckle.

"you might be cute but that doesn't mean that you can get away with your mumbling with everyone else," todoroki said.

izuku's face heats up immediately.

"sir!" izuku hid his flushed face with his arms.

"I'm telling the truth. yagi himself is a nice man but our manager over our sector is a different story."

"th-thank you. um are we close to yagi's office?" izuku asks looking around.

"no. we're close to aizawa's office. thats where you'll get your contract signed. mr. yagi is much too busy to tend to these things," he said stopping in front of an oak door that read the section manager's name.

"good luck midoryia," and with that, he started walking off.

"he's nice," izuku looked over in thought. he then turned his attention to the door.

"might as well face it head-on," he said with a sigh and knocked.

"come in!" someone yelled.

izuku found his way in and saw a blonde man with a small scruffy beard. he had sunglasses, even though they were inside. izuku had a feeling this man was a handful ninety-nine percent of the time. he walked up to the desk.

"and you are?" the man asked. he was too enthusiastic this early in the morning. izuku didn't know if he appreciated the man's bright aroma and eagerness or if it was flat-out annoying. no, he didn't say annoying, he'd feel like katsuki was rubbing off on him too much. enthusiastic, that's it...

"izuku midoryia. mr. yagi called me about a month ago and gave me the offer. I'm supposed to see him today but I was directed here?" izuku said laying his hands on the desk.

"ah yes, midoriya. one moment please," he asked turning around to his filing cabinet and opening up the drawer. the drawer was labeled from j to p. he started sorting threw them mumbling the greenette's name every so often until he pulled out a black file.

"ah! here it is. your resume. now hold it for a moment while I have shota buzz you in," he said looking at his phone machine.

"buzz me in, like an apartment?" izuku questioned.

"oh, the door is locked at all times. many people will try to come back to attack him. the number of people he turned down got higher so we had to take a sort of precaution," he said nonchalantly.

izuku started to visibly sweat. the man beyond that door shook fear in izuku's whole body without even meeting him. the man soon took notice.

"you okay kid?" the blonde questioned warily.

"fi-ine," he let out a shaky breath, he couldn't let his dream come to an end so quickly. he tightened his fist. he sent a reassuring look to the older man.

the man picked the phone up and clicked a button on the machine, soon speaking into it.

"he'll see you now."

"thank you," izuku took a swift right to the door. a buzz could be heard and izuku reached for the knob and turned. yet nothing happened. he knocked this time.

a second buzz could be heard and izuku missed the mark to open the door again. he knocked timidly. any confidence he had managed to collect have fallen to the floor in humiliation.

finally with the last buzz izuku opened it.

a dark-haired man could be seen at his desk in a black long-sleeved shirt and a yellow blanket around him. the man looked to be frustrated at izuku's antics. not even five minutes in and its already down hill.

"mr. midoryia, please take a seat," he said looking to the seat in front of his desk.

"uh- yes sir," he scattered to the seat, setting his case beside him. izuku felt like he might've needed it today.

the blacked haired man stared at izuku without saying another word.

"um, here's my resume. the man outside said I'd need it," izuku said sliding the folder to him. he looked at the folder then at izuku. he picked it up and slid it back to him. izuku was confused.

"d-do I not need it?"

"no. leave. you're not cut out for this line of work. toshinori must have been having an off day when he found out you," he scoffed and looked down at his book again.

"w-what?" izuku stood up.

"leave. you don't belong in this industry. go back home kid," he sighed.

"sir, you are wrong. I belong here. I did not work my-my ass off to get here for nothing. taking three jobs just to get the money for a plane ticket. this is unfair sir. I have struggled through so many obstacles just to get here and I'm not gonna let you take that away from me. with all do respect, sir, I want you to reconsider your decision. you haven't even looked at my resume or listened to me sing. I earned my right to be here today, sir. and if you don't sign me, i'll go to every record label in the country if I have to. and you will regret it," izuku exclaimed. he had a grip on his shirt. he needed this man to know that he meant business and that he wasn't just another kid from a small town.

a crazed smile fell onto the man's face.

"izuku midoryia," the man started. izuku had a feeling he was going to be yelled at or escorted out.

"welcome to yagi records."
