Author's note: This is an Alternate Universe, where Jotaro and Hikari live in separate worlds. This will also be a short multi-part story
This is a story about two kingdoms. Side by side. But worlds apart. All along the border, a forest filled with thorned vines and chains. A place marked as a reminder to never cross the line. The two kingdoms were sworn-enemies. The kingdom of the Stardust was born and bred warriors. Fighting and battle were within their nature. They've fought wars in order to protect the innocent and save lives. Strong. Powerful. Expert strategists. Honourable. Noble. Wild. Always act on their own accord and make their own rules.
The Kingdom of the Moon was a family of well-mannered individuals. Intelligent of all things in life. Clean. Their appearance and status was everything. Gracefulness. Never act or talk out of line. Never be caught dead with a lowly commoner. Always abide by the rules. And finally, always strive for perfection.
They were total opposites and this is why they remained separated. They held a strong hatred for each other. For centuries, they've set strict rules for future generations to never, EVER come in contact with anyone in either kingdom. They've place even stricter rules that if anyone falls in love with another person from either kingdom...the punishment is death. By hanging. For centuries, these two kingdoms have stayed far apart. Never connecting with the other. Until....one day.
In the Kingdom of Stardust, King Sadao and Queen Holly were blessed with a happy, loving son. Young Prince Jotaro. He had black hair and piercing emerald eyes. A boy who was full of life and wonder. Unable to sit still and dreams of exploring the world and fighting many battles like his ancestors before him. He was ten years old and seeing him so restless, Queen Holly convinced her husband to let Jotaro go out the palace walls and explore. But only within the castle border.
Later that day, Jotaro left his home to explore for the first time. He travelled into the forest, searching everywhere. Taking every single detail he could find. He climbed some trees a couple and let out cries of joys and freedom. He ran through the trees, laughing and yelling. Enjoying everything the forest had to offer.
Suddenly, the sound of a branch breaking from a nearby tree and a high pitched scream startled Jotaro. He turned around a fast as he could and saw a little girl. She had fallen high from the treetops and landed right in front of him. She had golden hair that shined like the sun and eyes that resembled sapphire jewels. She wore a cute light blue dress with little white crescent moons on it.
"Are you okay? Who are you?" Jotaro asked, running closer to her. As he came closer, she gasped and backed up into a tree. Fear in her eyes. Jotaro continued to come closer and when he finally reached her, he kneeled down beside her and held out his hand. "It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." He told her.
The little girl looked at him for a moment before reaching out for his hand. "Thank you." She said softly. He smiled and help her up off the ground. "Wh...who are you?" Jotaro asked her.
"Oh...I-I haven't introduced myself, have I?"
Jotaro shook his head.
"I-I'm sorry.... m-my name's H-Hikari. I-i-it's n-nice to meet you." The little girl, Hikari said as she gave a small curtsy.
"I am Jotaro, but all everyone calls me JoJo! Nice to meet you, Hikari!" Jotaro said as he gave a bow to her. He reached out his hand to shake and waited for a few minutes for Hikari to reach out and do the same. "U-um... If it's o-okay for me to ask....w-why are you out here, J-JoJo?" she asked.
"I'm here to explore the forest. It's my first time outside of the castle walls." Jotaro told her. "Why are you out here, Hikari?"
"U-u-uh...well....I...um-." Before she could say anything more, there was a deep voice calling for Hikari.
