Chapter Twenty-Seven

Amber's pov:

I got up out of my seat and began screaming along with the girls surrounding me. I heard the starting of She Looks So perfect. My heart begins to pound and I smile wide. Over all the girls in the crowd screaming, I can hear Luke singing. I give a little sigh. He sounds just like he did in the car; maybe just a little more nervous. I swear I saw his eyes flick in my direction for just a seconds. The girl next to me lets out a scream only dogs should be able to hear. I roll my eyes and look back to the show.

After they've performed a few more songs, Calum stops to talk to the audience.

"How are you doing TONIGHT!?" He yells, and the entire audience screams in reply. "Alright!! This next song isn't too new, but can describe my week!" Calum looks at me and winks. My entire row either lets out a  squeal or glares in my direction. They start playing English Love affair.

Through all of the chorus, Luke stared right at me. I tried to ignore it, and Calum didn't notice because he was looking out at the crowd, back at me, and back to the crowd again.
When the lights go out

The picture burning in my brain
Kissing in the rain
I can't forget my English Love Affair
Today
I'm 7000 miles away
The movie playing in my head
On a king size bed
Means I can't forget my English Love Affair

I looked down from the stage when Calum caught Luke looking . I shifted. Well, this is awkward. All the girls in my row looked like they were either going to bite my head off or jump onto the stage and attack them with kisses.

The song finishes, and they play a few more songs, only occasionally glancing my way. The lights dim, and I hear the opening to Amnesia start playing. As the lights come back on, Calum, Michael and Ashton are sitting on stools  holding acoustic guitars. All the Ashton girls scream at the sight of him with a guitar. Luke's eyes latch right onto me as he sat the mic. No matter who was supposed to be singing that part, Luke sings all of it.
I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted
I thought about our last kiss how it felt, the way you tasted
And even though your friends tell me your doin fine
Are you somewhere feelin lonely even though He's  right beside you?
When he says those words that hurt you do read the ones I wrote you?
It's like we never happened was it just a lie?
If what we had was real, how could you be fine?
Cuz I'm not fine at all

I remember the day you told me you were leaving
I remember the makeup running down your face
And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them
Like every single wish we ever made
I wish that I could wake up with Amnesia
And forget about the stupid little things
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you
And the memories that never can escape
Cuz I'm not fine at all.

I bite my bottom lip. For some reason, I feel close to tears. Calum's eyes follow Lukes gaze. He stops playing the guitar and stand up so quickly the stool falls over. The entire audience gasps as he drops the guitar and storms off the stage.
