CHAPTER 26 "THE MARK OF LOVE"
PREVIOUSLY...
"Raphael?", she purred.
Uh-oh this could be dangerous.
"I'm sleepy", she whined.
Her eyes looked a little droopy and she started rubbing her face. My angel is just sleepy.
"Ok, just sleep my angel", I smiled lying next to her holding her waist. "Sleep Shania", I purred.
Until I heard her breathing calm down I eventually started dozing off myself. The soft sounds of her breath and how her arms clenched onto me. Her soft waterfall and lollipop smell surrounding my senses making it more comfortable for me to sleep. With the sound of her heart beat keeping me calm I almost didn't realize her heat was keeping me warm. As warm as a sparking fire; her heat.

LAYLA'S P.O.V
Kyle told us everything that was happening to Shania and boy am I shocked. I thought since Vivian and I are the only ones not even remotely marked yet that we would eventually go into heat, but I guess not. Wait a minute, how come Nick hasn't marked me yet?! In the midst of my angry though I glanced over to see Aunt Clara walk in.
"Hello my little gumdrops, how was school?", she cheered.
"Um pretty good", Angel smiled.
"Not so much for Shania", Kyle sighed.
"Well she isn't supposed to be at school", Aunt Clara protested.
"Oh, she didn't go to school. She kinda went into heat", I explained.
"Raphael's mark is incomplete because the process was stalled when she died", Angelo explained.
"Oh dear, then how is she? Is she alright?", Aunt Clara said nervously.
"Don't worry she's fine. Raphael needs to stay with her until Friday to mark her or she'll start attracting every unmated wolf within a 10 mile radius. It would be a real major problem at school", Angelo explained more.
"Ok I understand. I rather have one wolf be attracted to her than like 100", she laughed.
"Yeah, but they're sleeping now so we need to leave them be. Raphael is the only one that can remotely tone down her mating smell", Kyle sighed.
"Well ok, so who wants dinner. I can whip up some spaghetti and meatballs in less than an hour", Aunt Clara cheered.
"Sounds good to me", I laughed.

After we were done eating I became very angry. The fact that Nick hasn't marked me is making me very anxious and confused. Believe it or not when the male wolf finds his mate the two usually mate or the female gets marked on the first night. But I don't wanna be mated yet but I sure as hell want to be marked. This is pissing me off. I haven't talked to that jerk since dinner. It's about 9 o'clock. Ugh, this is killing me, I need to talk to him before he leaves.
