Some place

"You did WHAT?!!!"

"I'M SORRY, OKAY?!!! THOSE ANNOYING KIDS WERE THERE!!!"

Wisdom looked as if he wanted slap the life out of poor Gara at the moment.

"You had one job. To capture that STUPID Omni Lord!"

"Yea, but THEY interfered!!!!!" The green haired villain was close to tearing his hair out of his scalp in frustration.

"Then why fight against them?! You could have just snatched him! You little idiot!"

"Urgh......."

Gara slumped into the chair, half gloomy, half gritting his teeth in frustration. "What's that J guy gonna say?"

Wisdom glanced around. "I dunno. He's not here. Says he's gonna have to leave us for a while. Probably means quite some time."

"How long again????"

"Maybe a few weeks." Keisetsu popped out of nowhere, startling Sakate who was nearby eavesdropping.

"GAH! Don't scare me like that!"

"Well, who asked you to be a scaredy cat in the first place?"

"Why you little....." Sakate growled at Keisetsu's snide remark, raising a hand.

"Enough." Brutal appeared behind them, earning another unholy yell from Sakate. "I heard we're meant to strengthen our abilities while our bosses are gone. Don't waste this opportunity."

Their little conversation ended here.

At the buddy police station

"J Genesis, congratulations. As of today, you have been discharged from prison and put on probation. The date's been brought forward due to good behaviour."

J Genesis sat, quiet, in the seat with his hands crossed, wearing a prison uniform, a calm expression on his face as he listened intently to Takihara.

"We expect you to be better aware of the actions you take from now on and no longer cause any further mayhem. It's already hard having more criminals on the lose at the moment."

He nodded. "I understand."

Takihara handed him a small brown package. "These are your clothes. Get changed and we'll show you out. There's someone waiting for you. You wouldn't want to disappoint him, would you?"

Taking his clothes from the Buddy Police officer's hands, Genesis showed the slightest sliver of a smile on his lips.

A while later

"Are you ready?"

"I am."

Takihara opened the prison's mechanical operated gates. "There you go. Goodbye for now, and enjoy your life as a free man, J Genesis."

"Farewell." J Genesis stepped out of the compound, not turning back to see the gates slide down. He could hear the whirring of the machines as this took place.

"You ready, sweetie?"

Stella glanced fondly at the small, delicate azure paw in her hand. She could practically feel the heartbeat of the creature pounding as time ticked by.

"Yes....."

J Genesis stood outside the prison building for a while more, waiting patiently. He knew he wouldn't leave, no longer how long it took. He'd wait.

Then, he heard it.

"Otosan!" (Father)

He crouched down, the curve of his mouth widening to his eyes as he watched the buddy monster pattering frantically towards him.

"Origin Breaker....."

"Otosan......."

Gemclone, Origin Breaker gazed back up at his buddy's face, tears welling up in his magenta crystal eyes, trembling as he held out a tiny paw.

"I.....I missed you......."

"You did?"

J Genesis reached out to grasp it, using his free hand to affectionately pet Gemclone's head as well.

"Y-yes...." The monster sniffed again.

The man picked him up, and held him close. He wouldn't be letting go any time now, that's for sure.

The buddies advanced away from the compound, with soaring spirits and beating hearts.

"Come. Let's go home. We have a lot to catch up on."
