Aw, Hell

I was in for one hell of a lesson once I had asked what they needed help with. Fury explained it to me in a very complicated way, and I had to lean over to Loki and ask him to paraphrase it when Fury wasn't looking.
There was a battle coming up. A big one. Unearthly invasion, what else, honestly? And that 40% of the American government was corrupted with humans working with whatever it was that was coming. We were battling ourselves in some ways. But that they needed me now more than ever because supposedly whatever is coming has intel on how to specifically kill each Avenger and then some. But they said that that was just rumors, yet where's there's smoke there's a flame. So they needed me. I was like special cargo. Their secret weapon.
"Fragile cargo at that," Hawkeye piped in suddenly. It was night now, they'd spent a whole day explaining things to me.
"Well how was I supposed to know I was some elite team's only chance a survival in- what year is it?" I asked. I swear I suck at dates. A few Avengers laughed. "Whatever, you get my point."
That's when I heard a small beep and a flash of red light in the room, both simultaneous and only a lasting for a millisecond. Fury looked around, suddenly guarded.
"Thor, undo Loki's cuffs," Fury said quietly, almost a whisper.
"What for?"
"Just do it, solider," He scolded. Thor gave a confused look but undid Loki's cuffs. Loki rubbed his wrists as the cuffs feel to the floor. "Now when I say, Loki, Stark, (F/n), and Thor are all going to run out of here and off the ferry. It's docked now and there is a car on land waiting there. Go as fast as you can. That signal means the enemy is sniffing out our tail. The rest of you need to take out their helicopters. Everyone needs to be in full gear, this is an attack. Is that understood?" He finished. Everyone nodded except me and Loki. I was too busy trying to ignore my adrenaline and wrap my head around what the hell was going on. And Loki well, he just didn't care to nod. "Good luck. Protect her. Banner with me."
And then Fury pressed a button on his ear piece and in an instant, full on bright, loud, alarms were sounding. I yelped and covered my ears. I followed Thor as he, Loki, Stark (who had already gotten his suit from a room we passed and was putting it on), and me all sprinted out onto the deck of the ferry and jumped onto the dock, already making a dash for the car that was in sight. I jumped into the back seat, and slammed the door. Thor almost pushed his brother into the other back seat next to me for the sake of speed, and as Thor couldn't drive, he jumped in the passenger seat. Stark got into the car and as it roared to life, he let his suit connect to it.
"Where are we to go?!" Thor asked. It was Jarvis who answered over the cars internal speakers.
"This vehicle has directions programed into it, sir."
"WELL GO!" I yelled, seeing the helicopters in the distance. Tony slammed on the gas pedal. We sped off so fast it made my stomach lurch. We veered into the semi- busy roads of the area. We passed in between cars to get more advance. And for a few blissful seconds there were no helicopters. But then they appeared, loud and above us. Then so did the rest of the Avengers on motorcycles. There were at least six helicopters, each had to have at least four people in them, and since Banner was still with Fury, there was only three Avengers to fight the helicopters. I could see Cap veer his motorcycle forward then throw his shield back, right through a helicopter. He then veered backwards to catch the shield again. The helicopter crashed into the sea next to us. An explosion erupted from the crashing helicopter. Widow was simply shooting at the things, aiming for the pilots. I couldn't see Hawkeye but every once in a while I would see an arrow hitting through one of the helicopter windshields.
That's when they started dropping small bombs. Small, so they only made explosions the size the helicopters made when they blew up. But still, BOMBS?!
"OH MY GOD!" I screamed as the first explosion sounded from behind us. Luckily we had made a right turn and entered an empty road on the outskirts of town.
"I'm going to regret this!" Stark yelled, putting the car in neutral. We immediately slowed down.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed. He jumped out of the car and pushed off the ground, flying into the air with his suit. He made a sharp turn and angled himself behind the car, placing his hands on the bumper. "STARK DON'T-"
The car lurched in motion, going as fast as Stark's suit could go, which was pretty damn fast. "OH MY GOD!!" I screamed, bracing against the car. I felt Loki grip my shoulder and brace himself. Butterflies. 'NOW IS NOT THE TIME, FEELS!'
We bolted, and as we sped up, so did the helicopters. They were farther behind us now, but we couldn't relax yet. They were still in sight. I felt like I was going to be sick. All over Loki. Which was NOT an option. So I covered my mouth and gripped the car tighter, trying to clobber down the fluffy feeling in my gut as I realized his hand was cold.
And that is when things went downhill. A sharp turn appeared that Stark couldn't see until the last second. We veered. We skid. The car flipped. I could feel gravity pull on my head then my legs then my head again. All the blood rushed to my brain as I developed a headache. I squeezed my eyes shut to try to block out the motion. I let out a loud scream as we felt the car do somersaults on the road along with my stomach. Loki's grip on my shoulder tightened. As we rolled, I heard Loki say a simple and sarcastic,
"Oh great."
The car finally landed, thank God it crashed back into place right side up. I tried to calm my adrenaline pounding body. I let out a shaky breath and looked over to Loki.
"I think I can taste throw up...," I said shakily. He chuckled. I looked over the back of the passenger seat, and saw that Thor had dented the car where he had braced. "Nice going, Thor."
"It is not my fault Tony simply HAD to flip the car," He grumbled.
I heard Stark's suit power up to zoom us off.
"STARK GET BACK IN THE DAMN CAR AND DRIVE IT!" I yelled. Loki pressed a hand to his ear mockingly. I ignored him. The helicopters were getting closer. Reluctantly Stark jumped back into the car and raced full speed until the helicopters were out of sight.
