"Hey babe," He says as he walks up to me in the cafeteria and kisses me on the cheek. I smile.
"Hey," I say as we sit down and I start to eat my Caesar salad. "what's up?" I ask.
"nothing," he says. I really want the chance to get to ask him about his parents and stuff. "you?" he says.
"nah," I say quietly. "what are your parents like?" I ask he gives me almost a confused look.
"why do you ask?" he questions.
"no reason." you say, which was a lie.
"my dad is a little bit of a hardass" he says briefly.
"what about your mom?" I asked.
"she isn't around much.. Why are you asking me this?" he sounded pissed.
"sorry, I was just a little bit curious." I said, quickly ending the conversation.
"I gotta go find Megan." I said, standing up and walking to the library where I knew she was. I felt him looking back at me. But I didn't wanna talk. Brenton was keeping something from me. And that was not okay.
