Chapter 26: Howl it Out

Y/n's POV:

"Unnie, let me wash the dishes" I pleaded

"Y/n, its okay, I got this, besides ain't you suppose to be resting?" Well, its true, I am tired and my stomach is fully loaded, am I really that hungry?

"You sure unnie?" I asked as Jeongyeon just spun her head giving me the 'seriously-I-got-this' look

"Yea, I do, now go" she shooed me away as I comply out of the kitchen

And well, 10 corpses..... ~I uhh mean bodies are layed on the floor, all knockout cold

I picked up the scattered bottles of Soju's and placed them outside with the garbages

"looks like they had too much" I mumbled as I chuckled looking at their funny bodies positioned awkwardly with each other as they find the best and relaxing position they could

"You done?" Jeongyeon asked, still sober

"Yeah, you?"

"Definitely"

"Wanna help me pick them up or nah?" I asked motioning to our friends drunk state

"Oh come on, what do you mean?, we can't just let them have fun by themselves" Jeongyeon said carrying a case of bottled alcoholic beverages

"Where'd you get that?" I asked in disbelief

"A magician never reveals her secret" she joked, damn she's no-jam at all

We seated the end of the couch, away from the knocked out ones.

Jeong had a bottle opener ready at hand as she opens the first bottle and mine.

We continued drinking till Jeongyeon was on the edge of being tipsy dizzy.

"How come your still sober?" asked Jeongyeon, a bit drunk

"I don't know... being powerful I guess" I cock a grinned as she laughed

"So cocky huh?" She said giggling a bit loud, not minding the others since they're all out cold

"You could say that" I said chuckling a bit

After a bit, Jeongyeon sucked in a breath and let out a sigh "you know Y/n, you're such a lucky person" she changed the topic

"Why would you say that?" I asked getting a bit serious to what she's about to say

"Well, you got your father back that you thought you lost, while us, all orphaned, abandoned by our own parents, luckily Uncle JYP was there to save our asses"

"Your still lucky though" I said back

"Well, not as lucky as you" she said while dozing off

I took the bottle from her hand and tuck her in with blanket.

I cleaned up our messed and headed outside.

The cold breeze of the night reminds me of the time when I'll wait for dad to come home every 5 in the afternoon.

The times when mom would catch me fall asleep on the porch, she would picked me up and sing me a lullaby at her rocking chair.

A tear escaped my eye

I missed mom

I shifted to my wolf and run to woods, clearing my mind off of it.

I ran and ran, with my injured leg no more and healed up, coming across riverbanks, lakes until I came upon the highest cliff of the mountain.

There the moon shines brightly from above, showing me its glorious blue light, you could see everything from up here, the seas of trees below, the lake leading to the sea, the cabin far from the east.

I admired everything.

And with step, I howl

I howled throughout the night, howled to what I have achieved, howled to how I missed my mom, howled to every moments I cherished, howled to how I felt right now, and howled to everything I have right now, my family.

I howled at the moon shining above, hoping my mom would hear, looking down at me and see how I have become, hoping she would be proud of me.

I howled my heart out.

I woke up and it was already dawn, still in my wolf form, I ran back to the cabin.

I approach home and Sana was waiting for me at the front porch.

"Baby, you made us worried sick, where have you been all night?" she said as she wrapped me in a blanket as I shifted back.

"Sorry, just wandered deep in the forest" I answered

"That's alright, come on we've been discussing onto something?" She said as she brought me inside.

"What is it?" I asked

"You'll know" she said with a smile

We made our way to the living room where everyone was gathered, Jihyo looked at us intently.

"Y/n, just in time" Uncle said

"What is it?" I asked while sitting down the couch with Sana on my left and Tzuyu on my right

"Well we discussed on to something and we agreed all into it, we thought that you may like it" Jihyo butted in

"Well, just spill the beans Jihyo"

"We agreed that you and your father should have a vacation together, a father and daughter bonding vacation" Nayeon said wearing a cheeky smile

"Me? And Dad? On vacation?" I asked again, not sure if I heard her right

"Yes" they all said in unison as I looked at my dad with my biggest smile

"Yes, yeah.. I'd like that" I said as I got up and hugged my dad tight and they cooed at the sight

"Awww..." "that's so sweet"

They said teasing me

"Mind telling where dad and I are going?"

"Boracay!!!" They all answered
