1. Zoey's Shadow

You looked at Zoey, the girl that you've been put at the back of. "Oh, come on! You said you wanted us to meet her." Someone with a deep voice had said. His tone was joking. Meanwhile, your form was shaken. All you could think of was him. You had promised yourself to never see those pouting lips ever again.

Yet, there you were 7 years later, standing behind your beautiful best friend. "Yeah! Let's meet her!" Another cheerful voice said as Zoey giggled. "I know one of you guys has already met her." She said while pointing across the room. You were still shaking wanting to run but not leaving.

Zoey finally stepped to the left revealing you with your head hanging low. "Now you want to be shy?" Zoey asked as she sighed in defeat. Your head snapped at her showing your face in front of all 7 boys. "You forced me to come here."

"Nice to know that you didn't even come here to apologize." He said as he threw his black hood over his silver hair. You scoffed. "Why should I apologize? You were the one that did me wrong, no?" You snapped at him. It was clear that both of you weren't over what happened right before his debut.

"No." Yoongi grabbed his phone and walked out of the dressing room, slamming the door. You glared at Zoey, who is in complete shock at the situation. "I told you this was a bad idea." You said through gritted teeth.

"But-"

"Save it." You said, putting your hand up to block her from your vision.

Being best friends with Zoey had its ups and downs. At times you were happy to know that she is always there for you. Other times you wish she was never in your life.

Back in high school, Zoey was a popular girl. Skinny, rich, a little bit of a bitch. She was everything people wanted. You, on the other hand, had weight issues and were a bit on the plus side. You had glasses that didn't help your situation.

You were always insecure, but the thing that pushed you to the limit was the comment that Zoey said. You could tell that she wasn't trying to be mean.

Zoey sat on your bed stuffing her face with popcorn. "Maybe...if you lost weight...a guy may like you." She said nonchalantly. Glancing down at your fat you realized that she was right.

After that, you started to manage what you ate and started going to the gym more. You had lost so much weight, but no one noticed. Everyone was too focused on Zoey's new shoes.

Then came Junior year. You finally got a boyfriend, who soon cheated on you with your best friend. You broke up with him and forgave Zoey. Why? You still don't know.

After that incident, you knew fully that you were stuck in Zoey's shadow.

"Y/n, I'm sorry." She said, knocking on your bedroom door. Zoey looked to the man at the left of her and said, "I have a surprise for you." Your face was buried in the pillow, trying to escape reality. "Fuck your surprise." You said as your words were muffled by the suffocating of the pillow.

Looking at the man, Zoey ushered him to persuade you out of your room. "How could you not miss me?" He asked, face practically hitting the door. Your head abruptly popped up from the pillow. You smiled, running to open the door for the guy you needed to see at that moment.

"ASHER!!"

You ran to hug him. Soon your feet left the ground and you were clinging to him like a koala. "Miss me?" He grabbed on to you. You nodded, not saying a word.

"What the hell happened to you?" They all bombarded Yoongi with questions he didn't want to answer. "How do you know her?" Tae asked. Yoongi gave him a weak smile, not wanting to further the conversation.

"Can we not talk about her? She is the last thing I want on my mind." Yoongi said as the members all nod. He sat on the couch and felt the stares as he scrolled through his phone.

"She's my ex-girlfriend." Everyone looked surprised at the fact that Yoongi ever had a girlfriend. "Did you guys not end on good terms?" Joon asked. Yoongi smiled, remembering how you sweetly decided to end things between you two.

"We ended on good terms." Yoongi looked at Namjoon, who was listening intently. "It's what happened after the breakup that's got us in this mess." Yoongi looked at Jin, who looked down. Neither of them expected you to come back into their lives.

"I'm sorry," Jin said, still staring at the floor. Yoongi walked up to him and patted the oldest back. "I know. That's why I don't blame you." Jin nodded. "I blame her and will always blame her," Yoongi said, making sure his hyung didn't feel guilty.

"You know, this could be a good thing." Yoongi furrowed his brows at Jin. "We can all finally get over this." Yoongi scoffed once he realized that they were missing someone from the equation. "I think we're forgetting about Asher."

The two oldest forget that the rest of the boys were in the room with them until Jimin spoke. "Zoey had told us about Asher." Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Of course she did."

"He is back and living with her." Both Yoongi's and Jin's eyes almost popped out at Jungkook, who was uncomfortable with what he had said.

"I feel uncomfortable with my ex being here," Zoey said as you all were sitting in the living room watching Spiderman. "Well, half the world is your ex," You said while laughing. Asher snorted trying to keep in his laugh.

"Plus it's not like I'm here for you anyway." He said, smiling at your form. "Yeah, but we've done things..." Zoey trailed off and you started laughing so hard that you fell off of the couch you were sitting on.

"Yeah, you guys did things but he still is my friend." Zoey looked at Asher then back at you. "You two are gonna end up kissing each other." You and Asher looked at one another. "Been there done that." You said, shuddering at that incident. Asher did the same.

"Wow. What a friend you are." Asher moved his blue eyes to glare at her. And you pursed your lips. "Yeah, some friend I am." You said thinking back to the many times she kissed your boyfriends.

"Shut up Zoe. You can't be one to talk." Asher said, defending you. Now the room was dead silent and everyone went back to watching the movie.

"Why the hell are we here?" Yoongi asked Jin with fire blazing in his eyes. The car was parked in front of Zoey's house. "You and Zoey have been getting along really well lately." Jin looked at Yoongi, who soon started to sweat.

"I just wanted to ask you why you do you keep sneaking out to this house?" Yoongi started to sweat even more. "I don't know what you're talking about, hyung." Jin rolled his eyes. "I don't have a problem with it. You could've just told me."

"Why the hell are we here?" Yoongi repeated his question, looking over at the house. "Well, I just wanted to check up on Y/n and Asher," Yoongi growled upon hearing those names. "You can come if you want to," Jin said unbuckling his seatbelt.

"I would rather not see those two," Yoongi said slumping back in the seat. "Zoey will be there." Yoongi rolled his eyes as if that wouldn't get him to move. Soon enough, Yoongi unbuckled his seatbelt and followed Jin to your door.

Next thing he knew, he was ringing the doorbell to your home.
