Today was the day. Everyone was getting ready for Laurance's funeral.

"Zane, can you tie my dress?" Nana asked.

"Sure. Come over here." Zane said as he finished buttoning up his shirt.

Nana went over and Zane tied up the back of the dress.

"You know, you look cute in black. You should wear it more often." Zane said.

"Thanks. Maybe I will." Nana said.

Nana went to the bathroom to do her hair.

Zane looked out the window at his brother's house. This would be the first time in almost a week that anyone has seen Garroth. According to Dante and Vylad, Garroth never left his room. He would only occasionally eat bacon made by Vylad. Everything else ended up getting thrown out the window.

He folded his arms and just stared. It was a while before Nana stood next to Zane, and grabbed his hand in hers.

"You okay Zane?" She asked.

"Ya. I'm just worried about Garroth." Zane admitted. "This is going to be a really hard day for him. This is his best friend's funeral we are going to."

Nana hugged Zane's neck and kissed his cheek. "He has you, Vylad, and the rest of us to support him."

There was a knock at the bedroom door and Aphmau came in wearing a black shirt with a matching long skirt. Her hair was held back by her red bandana.

"You guys almost ready?" Aphmau asked.

"Almost. Just have to brush my hair. Nana insisted I do." Zane said.

"I also got him to ditch the mask." Nana said proudly smiling.

"I noticed. Look at those freckles!" Aphmau teased.

Zane went a bright pink, "I'm brushing my hair now." He said, going into the bathroom.

The girls chuckled. "Let's get our shoes on." Nana said. "Don't hurt your arm brushing!" She called to Zane.

"I never thought that I'd be going to a friend's funeral this early in my life." Travis said.

"Same. No one ever wants to go to one so soon." Katelyn agreed.

"Want anything?" Travis asked, going to the fridge.

"No thanks."

"Okay then." Travis closed the fridge, grabbed a piece of bread, and bit through it.

"Is my dress on good?" Katelyn asked.

"It looks fine." Travis said. "Though I could use some help with my buttons on this shirt and the bow tie."

Katelyn laughed. "You dork, come here."

She fixed up his buttons and tied up his bow.

"There you go. Now you look better." Katelyn said.

Travis kissed her cheek and she shoved him away. Travis just laughed.

"I could kick you right now." Katelyn said.

"I know you could. But you won't. Cause we have to go now." Travis said.

"Fine, but I'll get you later." Katelyn promised.

"I bet you will blueberry." Travis said.

"Let's go." Katelyn huffed.

She grabbed Travis's hand as he laughed and pulled him out the door to the car.
