AN: The picture above is of her eyes. Heterochromia is when you have 2 different eye colours. This is important to know as part of this story.

PS: Evelyn has Black hair, not like the pic.

'Thank you so much for letting me stay here. Really,' I say gratefully to Jayden.

'It's fine. Really. We have too much space anyways,' he says.

I look around my room, which is right next to Jayden's.

The walls and comforter are mauve and the bed set and curtains are white. There's a super soft grey carpet that looks like it's sprinkled with stardust and there's an assortment of circular lights on the ceiling.

It's looks really comfy. A white desk is to the side of the room with a mauve leather chair and on the other side of the room, there's a vanity table with lights all around the mirror. But my favourite part is the large window that overlooks the street and many more streets beyond ours.

'What does your dad do?' I ask as I take the clothes out my plastic box that Niles brought upstairs.

Jayden lays down sideways on my bed and watches me hang my outfits in the long white wardrobe.

'He's the president,' he says.

The president.

Wow.

'Awesome,' I say, amazed.

I finish hanging the few clothes I have, and place a couple of shoes at the bottom of the wardrobe.

Then I turn around to look at Jayden.

He's asleep.

Watching him sleep is so nice. His face looks so calm and innocent even though the tattoos and bandana say otherwise.

The bandana actually looks pretty tight.

So, as gently as I can, I slide the bandana upwards off his head and I see the corners of his lips tug upwards unto a smile.

And that makes me smile.

He was pretending to be asleep.

'I know you're awake,' I whisper to him.

He opens his eyes and gets off the bed, chuckling.

'Gave myself away didn't I?' he asks as I hand him the bandana.

I grin at him.

'That smile,' I say.

Laughing, he drags his fingers through his straight blond hair.

'Goodnight,' he says by the door.

'Goodnight,' I reply.

I walk downstairs and turn to the right where Jayden told me the dining room is. There's a long table that can fit around 50 people. Rig is sitting at the head and Jayden is on his right.

'Good morning,' I chirp happily, enjoying the freshness of my brushed teeth.

The both greet me happily and Jayden pulls out the chair next to him for me to sit.
