Training gone wrong

Nyx walked into the training center to see Raya and Luche sparing. She looked tired, and her movements were off. Nyx went to stand where his two friends stood. Raya was having a hard time breathing as she fought. Luche seeing her destress, warped over to her hitting her into the air. She went to warp away but missed her landing, sending her into a wall. Raya was covered in sweat. She looked up to see Luche cast a fire spell at her, and she tried to get up and move, but her legs gave out. Raya saw the fire coming and tried to cast a shield, but nothing happened.

Nyx saw her in trouble and went to her side. Nyx pulled her into his arms as he cast a shield around them. "Enough Luche, she can't even stand to defend herself." Nyx still held on to her, and he could hear her labored breathing along with the fever coming off her. "What's it matter to you, Hero? Not like she can even feel anything, or is she whoring herself out to you now?" Nyx was getting ready to say something when he felt her hand on his arm tighten. Nyx looked down at her. " Don't please. Just help me get home." The look in her eyes was killing him, but he nodded. " Okay, lean on me if you need too." Libertus and Crowe look at him then each other. They have never seen Nyx act like that before.

"You're not going home, Raya. You can stay with me till you feel better." She looked at him. Raya tried to say something, but her legs once more gave out. Nyx picked her up and walked into his place. His worry grew when she coughed, and there was blood on her mouth. " Raya, you need to wake up, hun." She didn't respond; his heart was racing. She has been pushing herself too much. "Raya, please open your eyes." Nyx touched her face; she was burning up.

Raya woke up. Her body felt like it was on fire, and any movement only made it worse. "Hey, stay still. You wanna tell me what's going with you, Raya?" She saw Nyx sitting in a chair next to the bed. Raya tried to sit up and coughed again. " It's nothing just overdid myself." She said. How could she tell him that someone had poisoned her and she can't afford an antidote? "Bullshit Raya try again. I can't help you if you don't let me." Raya closed her eyes. Her breathing was getting worse. " Raya, open your eyes. come on, stay with me." She slowly opened them, " Why do you care so much?"

Nyx saw the marks on her neck and ran to his bathroom and came back with an antidote. As he broke it over her, he says, " Simple everyone needs someone, and you have suffered alone enough. I can't sit back and watch it any longer." Nyx looked down at her, and without think, he leaned down and softly kissed her. What had him smile was that she returned the kiss.

After that day, Nyx and Raya were together all the time. He had her meet Libertus, who started calling her little one and Crowe, who treated her like a sister. They would all hang out and get drinks after work. Raya slowly realized she was happy to have friends people she could count on in her life.

They were in the training room when Nyx walked in and saw Crowe and Libertus holding her back as she yelled at Luche, "I'll fucking kill you." Luche laughed " What it's not like it's your first time working yourself out." Raya tossed the two off her and charged at him.

Raya summoned her weapons and warped at him. All the Glaives stopped to watch; no one has ever seen her lose her temper like this. Raya saw the fire spell and quickly twisted away doing a backflip landing behind Luche she kicked him in the side.

Nyx was at his friend's side. "What the hell is going on?" No one is taking their eyes off the two fighting. "Luche said something to her about being a whore, and that's how she became a Glaive," Crowe says. "Damn, I don't think I have ever seen her fight like this before. Remind me never to piss her off." Nyx says.

Raya landed with a nice flip in front of Nyx and them. "Quit while you can Luche, you know you can't beat me." She says it so calmly. Luche runs at her but stops when they hear "Stand down Glaives," Drautos yells out. Raya relisted her weapon. Luche, however, was still pissed and attacked anyway. Raya quickly blocked with her sword, but Luche was so angry his attack broke her gun and came down across her eyes.

Nyx saw the blood on the ground and ran to her. Raya was beyond pissed even though she couldn't see right now. She still attacked Luche with her back up weapon. " Holy shit, she's gonna kill him." Nyx heard someone say. He warped in front of her grabbing her and twisting away. " Raya, stop babe. It's me you need to calm down. We need to get you checked out." Nyx saw all the blood covering her face. Luche wasn't done, and he ran at them. Nyx blocked him. "Drautos get him out of here before I let her kill him," Nyx yelled.

Nyx turned back to her. "Nyx" was all she said. She sounded scared. "Hey, it's okay. I got you." She leaned against his chest and passed out. "Raya. Hey, Raya." Drautos ran over with a potion. Nyx held her in his arms, trying to clean the blood off her face.
