question: how the heck do you do dragon talons? (rephrased ;))
asked by: DragonArtist28talons can be extremely tricky, and it often takes me a million tries to get them the way i like them.
so this chapter will be... interesting. :))recently though, my style has been changing, so my talons can be more realistic or more animated, depending on the dragoon.
i always find it easier, for some reason, to sketch on paper.
your talons can have any number of toes, but mine usually have five, including a thumb.
feet on a dragon are very similar to hands or feet on a human. the front feet of a dragon usually have a human hand shape.
(hand reveal???)
except they have claws, and a thumb in a slightly different place.
(they need to walk, after all.)
i find back talons easier, because they're usually on the ground, and you don't have to worry about thumbs.
my back talons usually have four toes.
another important thing is connecting those talons to your dragon.
