I kissed p'pha cheeks and waved my goodbye. "I'll be right here for 3 hours yo. Best of luck" he cherred me and gave a thumbs up.
The exam hall was protected by two armed men, this is a pretty big exam. I took my seat after finishing the verification processes. exactly at 10 AM they distributed the question paper.
My eyes widened after i took a full 20 minutes to read out the questions asked. I took a look at all the other students, those who have prepared day and night with full determination like me. tears threatened to fall from my eyes.
I gulped it back and laid down on the writing table with closed eyes. I heard the examiner mumbling "all rich brats chased away by parents"
He knocked on my writing table "yes sir" i asked. "Please don't sleep here, students are trying to concentrate" i nodded and apologised clasping my hands.
Three hours went like three decades to me. Finally they collected our answer sheets and i was the one Leaving the hall first.
P'pha was sitting under a tree. I shook his shoulders "hey p'pha shall we go?" He embraced me "yo, how was your exam?" He asked excitingly.
I pouted smiling and gave him a thumbs down. "Oh" his face turned sad, complete disappointment. "Don't worry yo, not the end of the world" he ruffled my hair and drove me home.

"Ice cream yo?" Pha stopped infront of p'beams cafe. I clicked my tongue and shook my head.
"Yo listen, don't be stressed. People do fail at some point. it feels like you'll never get past this, but you will. Failing this one test doesn't mean that you're a failure. It just means you hit a bump in the road" i chuckled, he is trying to comfort me. I'm such a lucky bean to be surrounded by these beautiful human beings.
"I'm okay p'pha, gimme sometime to vent" i tried to act normal as possible.
P'pha stopped in my house. I opened the door and walked real slow inside. I can see Appa talking to my phi, i slowly reached them and took the opposite couch. They were too busy to notice me.
"Kongpob, when are you going to listen to me and change your car. It's clearly worn out" my daddy entered yelling at Appa.
"Oh baby yo, when did you come" he dropped his bag on the table and came to me. On seeing my daddy's face, hot tears rolled down my cheeks. I hugged his waist burying my face on his stomach. He rubbed my back. "Nong tell phi what happened" p'forth asked.
After crying for almost 15 minutes, appa wiped my face and sat down infront of me. "What happened, why is my most strongest son crying"
"Appa, i did not even answer for one question today. I will not pass" i sniffed.
"That's alright, i know very well how much you worked hard for it baby boy. I'm so proud of your intellectuality and determination. That's all is needed in life" Appa pinched my cheeks making dimples with his index finger.
"But why haven't you answered to even one baby yo, I'm pretty sure you knew better" daddy wiped his eyes. What? Did he cry as well. Omg what did i do.

"Yesterday that old man gave me a model question paper right?" Daddy nodded. "That isn't the model question paper. It was the exact question paper that was provided to me in the exam hall. He tried to bribe us" daddy's eyes widened in shock.
"I felt really bad for all the other students. Though i didn't do it on purpose, cheating is injustice. I wasn't able to write anything after realising the truth" Appa covered his face. Daddy simply patted appa's shoulder.
"I'm really sorry yo, it's Appa's mistake for letting that man near you. I destroyed three months of your hardwork" appa spoke in a broken tone.
"Nooo, you didn't know as well. Let it go. I'll write the entrance exam with p'beam to study here" i pulled appa's shirt.
"I'm suing him" appa gritted his teeth and got up. I shrugged and clung to my daddy. "You know what baby?" My daddy asked. I hummed. "I have never been this happy and proud" he said.
"Not even when you've become daddy?" p'forth asked gasping, he made thinking face for few seconds and shook his head "no" phi fake fainted. I giggled.
Appa gave me his phone, i raised my brows in confusion. "Jason wants to talk to you" oh, i accepted the phone.
"Hey uncle" i exclaimed.
"Pha said yo is pining over a test, i told him if this is true then the real yo is replaced by a loser" uncle jay joked seriously.
I rolled my eyes "i was just upset they didn't serve me anything to eat in the exam hall uncle" he chuckled "i see"
"Your father told me everything we won't let him loose that easily okay? Your appa must spat fire by now I'll see you soon son bye" i cut off the call and headed to the dining table with the others.
"Daddy will i come under sadistic category if I'm happy now?" P'forth asked blowing his soup for me.
Daddy was confused "why dear?"
"It just makes me happy that my nong is not going out of my sight and i don't have to live alone without you three" really phi? I laughed at him.
"Appa should compensate to yo, tell me what do you want?" Appa asked feeding meat to me.
