3rd Person's POV

Jack walks around deck as everyone stands and watches him hold his pistol in the air. From above comes a frightened screech, and then Ragetti's eye falls to the deck and rolls away. Jack turns them comes face-to-face with Will.

"Jack-- Elizabeth is in danger."

Cat pushes through the crew and makes her way to the two men, "What?! What happened?"

Jack looks at Will and holds a finger to his chin, "Have you considered keeping a more watchful eye on her? Maybe just lock her up somewhere?"

Cat makes an 'are you serious face', "She's not a dog Jack Sparrow."

Will nods in agreement, "She is locked up. In prison. Bound to hang, for helping you."

Jack grimaces, "There comes a time when one must
take responsibility for one's mistakes."

He tries to move past, but Will pulls his sword to Jack's chest.

Will frowns, "I will have that Compass of yours. I must trade it for her freedom."

Jack tilts his head to the side, "So. You get the Compass, you rescue your bonny lass-- again. Where's my profit?"

Will lowers his sword but still grips it tightly within his hand, "I will deliver to you the Letters of Marque. You will be granted full pardon, and commissioned as a privateer in service to England."

Jack walks around Will in a circle. Cat furrows her eyebrows in confusion. What was Jack still thinking about? If he gave Will the compass not only would he be saving Elizabeth who they could now call a friend, but he would be fully pardoned from his wrong doings.

"Accepting those things is what you want me to do for you. Agreed. But what will you do for me?"

Will works this through and drops his shoulders in defeat, giving up.

Jack smiles as Cat stomps her foot in annoyance.

"Jack stop being a sleazeball. Will is our friend."

"Gibbs!"

Gibbs turns to Jack who had ignored Cat and walked over to the rail, "Anything."

"We have a need to go up the river."

Gibbs, at the wheel, looks scared, reluctant, "By need, do you mean a trifling need, fleeting, as in, say, a passing fancy?"

"No, a resolute and unyielding need."

Gibbs curses under his breath. Gibbs spins the wheel.

"What we need to do is sail to Port Royal-- with all haste!" Will makes his way up the stairs to Gibbs with Jack on his tail.

"William. I will trade to you the Compass, if you will help me find-- this."

Jack pulls out the small cloth with the imprint of the key he had gotten from the prison.
