Wow!!! I can't believe it's over! I began writing The Dragons' Crystal on a whim, just because I was bored and wanted to add new life into a story I started in middle school. I had doubts about how well it would do and about my dedication to it, but quickly found it to be one of my favorites. It's funny because I already had two ongoing novels at the time I started this and I was certain I was going to finish the other two first annnnnnd I finished The Dragons' Crystal first. I loved writing this story and loved the new characters. I am very proud how far this novel came. For those that know how the original story went down, this is a huge improvement. It brings me so much joy to breathe new life into a story that I loved when I was younger and now, seven years later, I can make it into a finished work. (I think the first time I wrote it, I only got ten chapters in) Finishing this is a huge accomplishment for me and I can't help but thank all of you that have been with me throughout this and have given me advice and help on how to make this story even better!
This isn't the final version. Once I finish my other ongoing stories, I will be returning to The Dragons' Crystal and editing through it. It's the first draft and so I know it's a bit rough, especially the ending. I've been pushing through major writer's block so I imagine the ending isn't as wonderful as the first chapters were. I promise to go back and make it into a book that's wonderful start to finish!
