>THIRD PERSON POV

Nekomaru ventured into the deeps of the woods. It would have been easy to just send a servant out to find the mushrooms and food, but Nekomaru enjoyed picking up a rose for Sonia in his way back. It was like their special thing. Nekomaru would do anything to see that bright smile illuminate Sonia's face.

Nekomaru finally arrived at the rose garden after picking the mushrooms and veggies. To his surprise, there were no flowers in bloom. He sighed of disappointment but then went silent. It was night now, so there was barely any moon light that could make it past the trees. It was nearly pitch black. Nekomaru heard a distant howling. He quickly saddled his horse and began to race through the woods, but in the wrong direction. He couldn't see in the dark, so he just went the opposite direction of the wolves. As he was riding, he could make out a light in the distance. He raced towards the light and came upon a castle with a garden of white roses in the front. Nekomaru hopped off his horse carefully and led it into the castle gates. The place had looked abandoned, so Nekomaru hoped his instincts were right. He walked over to the rose garden and examined them all. As he was about to pick one, a tall, slim shadow appeared in front of him, reflecting from the being behind him. Nekomaru quickly tried to turn around, but something soft had hit him right in the back of the neck, knocking him out.

>>SONIA POV

I had been waiting "forever and ever" as they say. Father had not returned. I began to worry intensely. Where was he? Why was he out so late? As I was in the middle of reading a chapter in my book, I heard a horse's trot outside. I happily rushed to the door, but when I opened it there was no sight of my father. Just his horse. Just his horse?! I glanced in every direction, but he was nowhere to be seen. I ran back inside but stopped. I shouldn't tell Ms. Owari. She'll just worry and send the guards. I changed into a long, dark coat. I pulled the hood up and covered my face, hiding my identity. I climbed onto the horse and rode for the woods.

After desperately riding for hours I came across a castle. It appeared to be abandoned but it looked beautiful. It looked so antique and vintage. It was the prettiest thing I'd ever seen. I jumped off of the horse and brought him up to the door. I tied him to a pillar near the entrance and slowly opened the main door. It was quiet and dark. All of a sudden candles started being lit and the whole room was bright. It took a minute for my eyes to adjust, but once they had I had seen the most beautiful room I'd ever seen. There was a fire place with two chairs in front. One chair had the cutest looking foot rest. Now's not the time, Sonia. Get it together! I quickly yet quietly waddled up the stairs, holding the front of my dress up so that I wouldn't trip. Once I made it up to the top of the stairs, there was a long hallway. I tip-toed down the hall, glancing through the rooms. At the end of the hall there was a mini stairwell leading down to pitch black darkness.

"HAHAHAHA!" My father's distant laugh could be heard like it was right in your ear."
I rushed down the stairs. I had been running so fast that I forgot to pick up my dress. I misplaced my foot and stepped on the front of my dress, causing my to go flying forward right at the end of the stairs. I was caught by two lanky yet strong arms. Because of the impact I could not tell at first but after a while in silence in the dark, I had realized that one of the person's hands was a little too close to my body. They had accidentally been holding onto an embarrassing spot. I screamed and they immediately let go, causing me to fall to the ground. The lights flickered on.
"S-SONIA?!" I heard my dad calling for me.
"Well this is a rather unfortunate situation." I looked up to see the man taking was holding a scarf over his surprisingly red face.
"Who are you? And what have you done with my father?!" My voice trembled as I made a fist at him.
"No matter! A mere human such as you could never beat me! If you wish to free your scoundrel of a father then you must promise me a deal." He exclaimed, pointing at me aggressively.
"I'll do anything! Please release my father at once!" I had started to feel angry. Just who is this man?
"I am Gundham Taana, the hell raiser who will bring the world to do my bidding. Once I'm finished, the world will be a peaceful place where no mortal such as yourself walks the planet. Nature will be the only king in existence!" He seemed so powerful when talking about nature.
"Very well, Gundham. I am Sonia Alwaysmind. What deal do you speak of?" I questioned.
He smirked and pressed two of his fingers to his temple. "In exchange for your father, you shall surrender yourself to me and become my servant. You will stay in this lonesome castle with me for as long as your mortal soul lives in this dreadful world!"
My father seemed shocked, as did I.
"I WILL NEVER GIVE HER TO YOU!" My father slammed his fist against the bars of his cell.
"Father...it's quite alright," I hesitated, "I'll do it."
"Excellent!" Gundham laughed and sent one of his hamsters to open to cell.
I tried so hard not to run over and let that thing.
"SONIA I will NOT allow this!" He grumbled and tried to hit Gundham, but Gundham sent another two hamsters to bite my father's ankles.
"GAH!" My father fell to the ground.
"Please stop hurting him!" I began to tear up. "I'll stay with you so please just let him go." I placed my hand on my fathers cheek.
"Sonia I can't let you do this."
"And I can't let you die." I said as I pushed him out the door of the cellar(leads outside).

Gundham immediately sent ANOTHER hamster to lock the door. Gundham turned to me and began walking over, taking large strides. I cowered against a wall, Gundham looming over me. He slammed his hand against the wall, cornering me. My face flushed, not knowing what he was gonna do next. I could still hear my father banging on the door, but eventually it stopped. Gundham's face lowered so that he was at level with mine. He's dangerously close... I examined his face and realized that there was something off. He had a huge scar on his left eye. He had very pale skin, almost gray. One of his eyes was gray and the other red. Back to the scar. I couldn't stop looking at it. He began to examine my face, and then he examined the rest of my body. It made me uncomfortable, but I ignored it. He began to inch closer and closer, his eyes narrowing on me as he moved. He was so close that I could hear him breathing. My chest began to pound like a drum. Everything was ringing. It was like I was between happiness and dying. Even though I should have been worried about the opening of his lips, I just couldn't get over that scar. I caressed the scar gently, looking at him in the eyes. He stopped moving and seemed almost scared for a second. He jumped back up and grabbed my arm. He forcefully dragged me back up the stairs and down the hall. He sent a hamster to open the door of a large, pink room.

"How many-"
"Silence." He mumbled.

He let go of my arm, forcing me to go into the room. I stumbled to the ground and looked behind me, confused.

"Sleep. You will join me for breakfast in the morning." Gundham had seemed angry all of a sudden.

He slammed the door shut and locked it, providing no escape. I looked out the window to see if I could jump, but I was at least 4 stories high. Most importantly, where had father gone? The horse was nowhere to be seen. I think... I'm on my own now.
