The Wonder Land

I call this the land of Wonder.
Where all is as it seems,
People are not bursting at the seams
With make believe dreams
Of escapist lands surrounded by sea.

In the Wonder, we are alive
No need of reprieve,
Space to breathe,
As our hearts come unsheathe
In the land of Wonder.

The grass is shimmering gold
Skylines whisper words of old-
The birth of our land once barren and cold
Fertilized by passions many have sowed.

In this land of Wonders,
We roam as we please, no desire to flee
We run amuck and shout with glee
For once we belong, no need to plea

In the land of Wonder
We all are free.
