Caiden grabbed Travis’ wrist lightly, making Travis blush as he was escorted down the hallway. “I know you don’t really like loud places, so I wanna show you where me and the birthday boy are hanging out. It’s his studio,” He turned back to look at Travis, “Cool, right?” Travis was in awe at how long it was taking to get there, considering how fast they were walking, so he said nothing and let out a sigh as Caiden turned to face a door on their left. 'It's sweet how he remembered how I don't like loud places. Then again, a lot of people don't like loud places.’ Caiden pushed the door open and Travis' jaw almost dropped.

The room was small and rectangular. There was a blue and purple glow cast across the room from several colored light bulbs, and there was a strip of green lights behind Liam's two monitors, his pc sitting on a modern looking desk on the right wall. Above his setup, was a TV with a chromecast that was displaying photos of nature and cityscapes. Next to the door, on their left, there was a shelf with snacks and drinks on it, weed and alcohol included. There was a mini fridge on the wall adjacent, with a beanbag chair next to it. And finally, the wall right across from the door. There was a brown couch, which was where Liam and his girlfriend were making out heavily, Liam's hand making it's way up the back of her shirt while she was straddling him.

For a second, Caiden and Travis just kinda watched, Travis not having the confidence to interrupt, while Caiden seemed to almost enjoy it. Caiden cleared his throat heavily. This caught the couple's attention, and while they readjusted themselves, Caiden and Travis walked in and shut the door. Caiden motioned for Travis to sit down in the beanbag chair, which he did, trying his best to keep his eyes away from Liam and his girlfriend. (It might not be his girlfriend. Who knows, maybe it was just a one night stand. Well, it could have been a one night stand if him and Caiden hadn't interrupted.)

"Travis! Long time no see!" Liam exclaimed, making his way over to Travis and kneeling down next to him to give him a hug. Liam gives the best hugs. Travis squeezed him and pulled him closer, immediately regretting it when he noticed Liam was still… excited. “Sorry, Trav,” Liam stated, pulling away and glancing at the girl waiting for him by the door. “I gotta… go finish something. I’ll be back in a bit. Don’t let anyone else in here.” Liam walked toward the door and Caiden spoke up, having packed a bowl in one of Liam’s glass bongs. “Liam, all you had to say was that you’re gonna go get laid.” Liam’s girl giggled and grabbed his hand, winking at Travis while Liam yelled something back at Caiden. Travis couldn’t quite hear what it was, because he was way too worried about being in the same room as his crush. Smoking weed. Alone.

Caiden took a hit and offered some to Travis. He declined. Before Caiden sat down next to Travis on the floor, he grabbed two granola bars from the shelf. “So, how are things? It’s been like, a year, I think?” Travis nodded, remembering how last time they actually talked to each other, it was before Travis relapsed. “I’m okay right now, actually. You caught me at a good time. I don’t know if I would still be hanging around here right now if you hadn’t knocked on the bathroom door just then.” He reached for the bong, taking one hit, letting it seep out of his lungs, then taking another. “How ya feelin’ now?” Caiden asked, taking the bong back and placing it on the floor, taking Travis’ hand in his. Travis froze, then quickly tried to remember how to breathe again so Caiden wouldn’t notice. Travis couldn’t help but smile, thinking about how close they were, then he stopped, the smile quickly fading as Travis remembered that he didn’t even know Caiden’s sexuality. He took another hit. “Travie, I saw that expression. You can talk to me, you know.”

Hearing those words again, that nickname, Travis softened, slumping down into the beanbag and leaning on Caiden’s shoulder. He felt the marijuana flow through him softly, the buzz kicking in, but not quite the calmness that followed. (Thank god the devil’s lettuce was legal in California.) Caiden ran his hands though Travis’ hair, making Travis instinctively lean his head towards him and let out a small hum. He couldn’t see it, but Caiden smiled, his eyes going soft as he let out a sigh. “I love when you let your hair down like this. It’s fun to play with.” Travis pulled his legs up toward his chest, smiling like a madman and sliding off the beanbag chair. He put down the bong and laid his head on Caiden’s lap. “It feels good when you do it, too,” Travis replied. Caiden took another hit, handing it to Travis so he could, too. Before Travis sat up, he looked up at Caiden. He looked so good from this angle, with the lighting hit him just right, and his gray bucket hat shielding his eyes perfectly. Travis sat up and started to take a hit.

"Travie?" Caiden prompted, Travis' lips still on the bong. He nodded in response, just barely letting the smoke seep out of his nose as he relaxed back onto Caiden's thighs. "I know we haven't talked much, but I've actually liked you a lot for a while and I'm sorry for not texting you and all but I think I might be gay?… For you? And it's okay if you don't… or aren't… You know…I mean- Look, I think I wanna kiss you."

Travis' lungs practically collapsed, the smoke rushing out all at once and he sat up with his eyes wide so he could cough. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Caiden fold in on himself and light up the bong one more time. As Travis' coughing fit settled down, Caiden exhaled, the smoke being lit up by the green and purple lights around them. 'Shit. Shit, he likes me?' Travis sipped his water, moving back closer to Caiden to show him that he at least didn't mind what he had just said. Caiden took another hit.

"Cay, I like you too." At the sound of this, Caiden perked up, still holding his breath. The way he looked at Travis reminded him of when you call a dog's name and their little ears perked up. Kinda cute. "I'm… Gonna kiss you now, okay?" Travis said, moving closer and reaching for Caiden's cheek slowly. Slow enough to give him time to say no; but he didn't.

Caiden relaxed and the smoke leaked from his mouth as their lips finally met. Travis' hand was on the side of Caiden's face, and Caiden was slowly trying to set down the bong with one hand, while the other went to rest on Travis' hip. It was slow at first; testing the ropes. Travis' lips felt soft to Caiden, and Caiden's lips felt very… electric to Travis. They kissed slowly, over and over again, then Travis grazed Caiden's bottom lip with his tongue, asking for permission to take this any further. Caiden accepted, parting his lips for Travis and gripping Travis' shirt, humming for just a second.

Travis slid his hand through Caiden's hair, knocking his hat off, and as Travis placed his free hand on Caiden's lower back, coaxing him to lay down, he heard someone cough behind them. They shot apart, Travis turning around and trying to hide Caiden behind him as he stared at the man in the doorway. "I knew you were gay, Trav, but damn. Also, hi; Liam told me this is where his weed was?"

Caiden leaned out from behind Travis, bong in hand. "Right here. Feel free to join us, Sam, but next time please knock. K?" Sam strolled in and plopped himself on the couch.

So much for Travis' first makeout sesh…
