New beginnings

Part fifteen

It's been a few days since the dinner.
Carl is feeling better and is thinking about joining military school.
I don't know if he got in, he hasn't told me yet.
The death threats have gone down but I'm still suspicious of Anna. I was gonna follow her or Brittany after school, see what they're up too.

I got a text from Fiona.
"Hey you coming to Carl's goodbye party tomorrow?" She texted
I was confused.
"What goodbye party?" I put my phone in my pocket and went to lunch.

Carl skipped today so i went and sat with my friends.
Y/f/n(your friend's name)
"Ugh, Dom and 'squad' are coming."Y/f/n said putting up air quotes when she said the word "squad."
I looked behind me and stood up seeing Dominique come to a stop.
"Only my friends can call me Dom." She said putting her hand on her hip.
"Well I feel pretty bad for them, I mean they have to put up with your petty-ness? Thats sad." I made a fake sad face.
I looked at Brittany and she looked at me then down.
"So how's your brother doing?" Dominique said rolling her eyes.
"Oh would you like to know." I scoffed.

"My dad's a cop and I could have told him it was you who gave me a black eye. But I didn't." She said
"What, do you expect me to thank you? You know what's too bad for you?" I said and she waited for my answer.
"Carl isn't here to stop me from doing it again." I smiled.
Y/f/n stood up and went by my side.
"Y/n don't." She whispered.
"Why? Her and her 'crew' have been leaving death threats in my locker! How would your dad feel if he knew about that?" I stared Dominique down.

She scoffed and walked away.
"Sorry she just really gets on my nerves." I said to Y/f/n

After school

I saw Brittany and Dominique part ways.
I followed behind Brittany and she walked to an apartment building
When she went inside I slipped in behind her.
Anna was outside of an apartment door.
"Hey B!" She smiled as she saw Brittany.
I hid behind a corner.
They went inside the apartment.
When I heard the door shut I walked over to it.
I held my ear by the door to try listening in.
I got my phone out and hit record.
I put it on the floor, there was a small crack.
I put the side of the phone that the audio comes from right by the crack.

"So how is it going with Jaime?" Brittany asked muffled
"Jaime? I thought his name was Jamal!" She laughed wickedly
"Bitch" I thought
"So how long do I have to pretend to like him? Please explain to me the plan again." Anna said
"Ugh." Brittany groaned

They sound like stuck up snotty girls-which they are- who have been spoiled their whole life and expect everything to go their way.

"So basically Dom wants you to get closer to Y/n and learn about her, her strengths and weaknesses. You know? And then when you guys start to get closer, to ask her about her and Carl's relationship. Give her the wrong relationship advice and when they break up Dom and Carl will be a couple. Simple!" Brittany cheered

"Hey! What are you doing?!" A man yelled at me.
I shot up from sitting on the floor.
I made sure I had everything and then I ran.
I ran all the way to my work.
