New beginnings

Part two

I woke up to the sound of something falling over.
I checked the time: 7:48
I put my stuff back in my bag and slowly opened the door.

The two people from last night were trying to get to the bathroom but stumbled over.

I looked down stairs and saw my dad still passed out
I ran out of the house as fast as I could.
Carl and Nick saw me running out and then my dad came out with a bat.

They stopped and looked at me running and him running after me.
"Get back here you bitch! I told you to sleep somewhere else, now you're gonna learn." He yelled
I looked behind me and Saw Carl and Nick running after us.

"Yo! Leave her alone!" Carl shouted
My dad stopped and looked at them
"Or what!?" He yelled
Carl walked up to him and punched him.

My dad looked for his bat but nick had it.

"Now unless you wanna get beat to death by my boy Nick, I suggest you run." Carl said.

My dad looked at me
"I'm gonna kill you!" Nick hit him in the leg with the bat

"What'd you say?!" Carl yelled

My dad ran away limping, his face was red with fury.
I took a step back from them scared

"Thank you." I said. I really didn't feel like humiliating myself more so I started speed walking away. Not because of them, but because of my dad.

I'm across the street from school and need to change my clothes.
I stole money from my dad so I can buy some stuff from the store and clean myself up.

Just then I got a call, "No Caller ID"
Fuck. is that my dad.

I answered, I don't know why I just did. "you dumb bitch-im gonna hit you" he quickly said and hung up.
damn.

I tried to shrug it off and not think about it, I started to look for stuff i needed in the store.
The best I could find were baby wipes... I brought it and some snacks along with it.

I payed for it and still had a couple bucks left over.
About 40 dollars left.
I took 60 from him, I hope he doesn't find out.

I went in school and went to the bathroom. I made sure no one was in and then I closed the door to the bathrooms completely.

I went into the stall at the end and locked it. I got undressed and cleaned up with the wipes.
I put deodorant on and did my hair.

I put new underwear on, put on a shirt,pants, etc.

Someone slammed the door open and started to cry thinking no one was here.
I put my shoes on and got my stuff. I put my dirty clothes in my bag.

I walked out and a girl with reddish hair wiped her tears.
"Sorry I didn't know anyone was in here."
She said

"It's alright, whats wrong?" I asked
I understood if she didn't want to tell me
She didn't say anything.

"I'm Y/n, I'm new, just moved here with my dad." I said

"I'm Debbie, hey since you're new, do you wanna sleep over at my place tonight?" I paused for a bit to think about it, I don't know her after all

"Uh sure!" I smiled
Cant go back home after what happened this morning.

"What grade are you in?" She asked me

"Ninth, you?"
"Tenth. My brother is in ninth grade too, who knows maybe you'll see him." She said

(I'm just making some of these scenes up because obviously Y/n isn't in shameless so I have to make some plots up for her to be included:) enjoy)

She gave me her number and said shed text me the address after school. Debbie and I talked until the bell rang for class.
We then parted ways and I headed to my locker.

I put in my combo and got a note book and pen from my bag. I didn't want to be carrying around dirty clothes and plus I need to buy school supplies with the money I have left.

I took five dollars from my bag and put it in the back pocket of my jeans for lunch.
The bell rang again indicating that I was probably late. I closed my locker and took out my schedule.
"Ok my first period is math...." I thought to myself
I walked up the stairs and found my class.

The next day

I snuck into the house last night and slept in the closet.
My dad always forgets what he did after a day or two.
I ran out of the house and saw Carl with Nick walking out.
A little boy was holding Carl's hand.

I think my dad saw me because I heard the door slam open and a gun shot.
I turned around and Carl and Nick were running after us.

"I told you not to come back here!"
He snarled.
My dad shot again but missed. I turned the corner and he was still shooting.
"damn dad really? not even a hug or an 'i'm sorry for trying to kill you my lovely daughter.'"I said trying to be funny.

I heard the shooting stop and my dad groaning and cursing.
I stopped and looked behind me.
He had a star thing in his leg.
It was metal.
Carl told me to run.
I ran around the corner again and made it to school.

Damn hes gotta get off my ass im sick of it.

I forgot about the sleepover with Debbie because my phone died when school was over, so I didnt get her text about the address.
But I charged it this morning and managed to take a shower.

I texted Debbie that I was sorry and that things had come up.
She texted me her address and said it was okay.
We were planning on me going to spend the night tonight.
The bell ran and I headed to my locker.
