You were born to be real, not to be perfect

Chapter 3 - The party

You were working for the first time without Lisa. You were a little nervous since you didn't know a lot of your coworkers, but you still managed to open the cafe alone. The only person you were comfortable with was Lisa. You even went to her apartment to chill and have sleepovers. You could even say that she was your best friend, even if both of you didn't know each other for a long time. 

You started to do everything you had to do, waiting for the person who will work with you since you didn't know who it was. You didn't have to wait more, because as you were finishing to prepare everything, a guy entered the shop. 

«Oh, it must be my coworker,» you thought. «Wait, why does he look like a bunny? » You remembered what Lisa said and deduct that is must be the guy she called Jungkook.

He looked hot. You couldn't deny it. You were almost drooling, but you stoped yourself. You had to make a good impression since it was the first time you met him.

-Hi, he said while he closed the door.

-Hey! you answered. 

-You must be Y/n! I'm Jungkook, nice to meet you, he said flashing a bunny smile.

You couldn't help but thought he looked cute.

-Nice to meet you too! 

It was a little awkward at first, but soon you both started to open up and had a lot of fun talking and teasing each other.  You were truly happy. You were talking with regular clients since you saw them a lot and started to interact with them. It was a pretty nice job, and you knew some people had a more difficult life than you. You were living comfortably, you didn't have a problem with money and, well, you had friends. 

At the end of your shift, saying goodbye to Jungkook, he said to you:

-If you want, I just decided I will do a party tomorrow at my house. I will invite everyone who is working here, to build our team. I know you're close to Lisa, so maybe I could send you the info and you could text her? he asked shyly. 

-Yeah, for sure, you sais smiling.

You gave him your number and waved goodbye. At home, you looked at your phone and Jungkook had already sent his address and the time.  You smiled at yourself and sent the info to Lisa. She answered almost immediately, asking if you wanted her to come to your apartment to get ready. You replied that it was okay with you and that you will wait for her. She said that she was going to bring you some clothes and makeup for you. You thanked her and went to sleep, it was already pretty late and you wanted to be in good shape for tomorrow. You closed your eyes and almost fell asleep right away.

The next day, you woke up at noon (you were a heavy sleeper), feeling excited. Lisa was supposed to come at 4 to make sure you both had the time to dress and everything. You ate, cleaned a little and waited for her. You were watching Netflix when you heard a knock at your door. You opened and saw Lisa.

-Hey! How are you? you asked.

-I'm fine, thanks! Ready for the party?

-I guess, you shrugged. 

You helped her with the bags she was holding and hugged her.

You both talked while preparing and laughed about everything until the subject turned around soulmates.

-Do you believe in soulmates? she asked. 

You sighed.

-Not really, I mean isn't it weird that you have a tattoo about what someone thought when they saw you? What if it is like "Oh she's ugly " or  "I don't like him".  I think it's just a myth, even though the tattoos are real.
