"Stop what?" Deceit asked, looking at Remy with an all to smug smirk."You know what," Remy hissed, "Stop...making me fall asleep!" Deceit chuckled, rubbing his arms for warmth, looking at Remy.
"Darling, I assure you I'm not using any wicked magic, you just feel comfortable around me, Is that really so bad?" Deceit looked over Remy, smiling fondly. "Is my sweater comfy?" Remy looked down and sure enough, he was wearing the sweater from his dreams. "You kept crying about how cold you were, so I lent you my sweater, it's an old one, you can keep it if you wish." Remy nodded softly, curling up in it further.
"I'm sorry," The admission shocked Deceit.
"For what?"
"For getting angry for no good reason, for going back to Emile, for being so pathetic." Remy went silent, soft sobs being muffled into Deceit's chest, the elder rubbing soft circles into his back, calming him.
"Don't you dare apologize," Deceit said softly, "Never ever apologize to me," He held Remy even closer. "You did nothing wrong, you were tired and scared and didn't realize I was lying. I'm not mad at you, never mad at you," Remy nodded slowly.
"Do...do you think...do you think that maybe we can pretend this never happened?"
"Pretending is no good. We're both know that you were angry with me, we're both know what happened." Remys face fell, before Deceit ruffled his hair. "We can most defiantly forgive and forget." Remy nodded quickly.
"That sounds good, De."
"Good,"
That was the start of...something. Remy felt safer, felt more sure of himself and that was good. He wasn't scared of Emile any more. He wasn't scared of anyone anymore.
"So, when are you going to ask him," Logan paused, "Again," Deceit sighed, leaning back against his best friends bed.
"I don't know, Lo. I really don't." Deceit admitted, pausing to think. "Though, I think...he already knows,"
Logan hummed, "And why's that?"
"Because he trusts me, he knows me. He can see the truth, I suppose,"
"He sees through your pretty lies?" Deceit sighed wistfully.
"He sees through my most beautiful lies,"
Weeks passed.
Then months.
Then...a year.
A whole damn year.
"Deceit!" Remy screeches, Deceit popping up in the room mere seconds later.
"Yes?"
"You are being ordered to accompany me to dinner!"
"Who's order?"
"Uh, mine, babes," Remy hugs Deceit, Deceit freezing for a moment.
"Remy?" Deceit paused. "Why?"
"Because...it's a date." Remy said, like that explained everything.
"A date, like...romantic?"
"Yes."
A silence filled the air. Though, it wasn't awkward. It was...peaceful.
Deceit really would do anything for Remy. Remy really cared for Deceit.
So why was it still so awkward? Was it Deceit's fault? Or Remy's?
No...As Deceit watched Remy for a moment, he knew. It wasn't Remys fault, and it wasn't his own fault. They simply...were two fools in love. Too scared to mess something up. To scared of what might happen. That's fine though, because Deceit knew by the end of the night, he would have a boyfriend.
"Well, don't you look handsome?" Remy teased, handing Deceit the bouquet of simple yellow flowers.
"I can't say the same for you," Deceit joked, taking the flowers with a soft grin. "All for me?"
"No, some for Roman too- yes their all for you!" Remy laughed, taking Deceits hand and leading him to the table, candle lit.
"So, I prepared some chopped mice for you, snake like that right?"
"haha, very funny." Deceit rolled his eyes, sending the flowers to his room.
"Joking, babes! I made lasagna, yeah, that's right, made. So enjoy every bite." Remy sat down after making the both of them a plate, filling both glasses with white whine.
"I'm sure it's awful," Deceit promised, clinking his glass against Remys.
The date ended eventually, all things do. So they walked, it would be a waste of this beautiful scenery Roman made not to walk. The twos tipsy giggles filled the air, accompanying the music of frogs and bugs.
"I prefer morning walks," Deceit stated, lacing his fingers with Remys. "I like to start my day with being calm,"
"That's so nerdy- you've been spending way too much time with Logan, I might be jealous," Remy giggled, leaning against Deceit. He was a bit of a lightweight.
"Ohhh, jealous? Of the nerd?" Deceit laughed. "I assure you, there's nothing to be jealous of. He's too busy chasing after one of the creativities and I don't care enough to tell you which one,"
"Maybe both of them,"
"Wouldn't put it past him, Logans a greedy one," Remy laughed and Deceit's heart thumped dangerously fast in his chest. So he stopped, turning Remy to face him.
"I have something to tell you,"
"Oh no- you're going to kill me now aren't you? We're in the woods, I'm drunk oh no-" Deceit scoffed shaking his head.
"No, no, I'm not killing you," He took both of Remys hand in his. "I'm asking you to be my boyfriend," Remy was silent for a moment, before laughing.
"You were wrong, I'm dead. I'm dead and very gay." Remy smiled, wrapping his arms around Deceit's neck. "I would love to be your boyfriend."
"Should we seal it with a kiss?" Deceit joked, wrapping his arms around Remys waist.
"mm, yes, I think we should," Remy leaned in, his lips pressing against Deceits.
It's perfect, it's everything Deceits been waiting for. Everything he's ever wanted. He could cry right now because finally, finally, Remy is in his arms, laughing and smiling and kissing him and oh-
Deceit kisses back, the taste of wine and coffee so perfect. He loves it, he loves Remy, he would never be happy without him.
"You're my happiness," Deceit admits when they break. "You're my angel, you're the reason I wake up, I.."
"Shut up," Remy said jokingly, "Don't waste all your compliments on the first date," Remy laughed, cupping Deceits cheek.
This would be better then with Emile. He knew it.
The end.
